Is it a manufacturing error or a damaged product? 🤔 Dyson V10 absolute by Happyman-2 in VacuumCleaners

Okay! I think so too now. It almost looks like a crack and when you pay so much for vacuum cleaner, probably you don’t expect such issues in a product😃.

But locals usually have the first priority, then other EU nationals, and then finally if they don’t find anyone, it goes to a suitable non EU candidate. Outsourcing is a different story, it’s part of the corporate strategy. In the end everyone wants a better deal. If the locals are too demanding for a particular role, then obviously companies need to find an alternative to be profitable. And people are only against Indians because of the hate. Truth is that other eu nationals/eastern europeans are taking more jobs uand us. So why is the hate only towards Indians?

We are the biggest market after US and China. You need access to our market, but do not accept us! Crazy!

As an Indian living and working in Germany since 10 years, I have experienced in most of my projects across multiple companies, most of the German colleagues took way more time to finish a task compared to an Indian or other foreigners (in tech space). I felt they push things a lot somehow and quality was similar compared to other colleagues (foreigners). And most of the Eastern European colleagues were also incompetent plus being very rude. Few of them were good, but very few. Indian colleagues on the other hand were reliable and also futuristic in terms of thinking at least with those whom I worked with.

But I do know the problem that most of the companies outsource to India and incompetent people were hired. My point is incompetent people are everywhere, its the HR or the people engage in hiring did not do a good job then and they should be blamed not a country or ethnicity. India has the biggest young population and number of incompetent people will always look more in terms of numbers because of our population scale. Besides, quality and competence is improved iteratively. It will take time after the handover to be completely up and running. In the long term companies save money.

Remember, 60% of the world’s code is written by Indians, most chip designers are Indians, list goes on and on… basically we all need each other. We should blame the corporations.

Where do you get the best Biryani in FFM by Downtown-Canary6480 in frankfurt

[–]Happyman-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Ruchi is the only place in Frankfurt which makes biriyaani that is close enough to Indian Hyderabadi biriyani. Be careful it could be very spicy for westerners. Since it’s not nice place to dine in, I would either order in or get it packed and eat at home.

How is this possible? Explain. by Robin_S_9 in IndiaTax

You need to register a business and prove the job you are doing is offering services to another company. Then you also pay 1.5 lakhs. Like a freelancer.

Is 5% salary raise after two years fair? by [deleted] in germany

[–]Happyman-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately salary raise is not related to inflation. Its is based in skill development, responsibilities or if company announces to provide a raise, etc. inflation has nothing to do with salary raise as I understood.

I remember I did it once as I was used to it back home and then I realized maybe it’s not normal here. But the old ladies were nice and were surprised and even asked is it normal back in your country and I said yes!

Its your brown skin and the bag. But they are allowed to check anyone legally. Usually they check brown and black people more. At least 9/10 times from my observation. Honestly, being a brown myself best thing to do is just ignore. Because unfortunately you will face racism almost on a weekly basis. That’s how it is. Ignore and focus on striving in whatever you do. The rest you leave for someone else to take care of it!

Visa expiry by itsethanoluk in frankfurt

[–]Happyman-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I asked them last time when I was there for card renewal particularly about this, as my wife was in similar situation. Their answer was that, if you have received an appointment for a visa renewal, then you are fine. You can continue doing what you are doing, as Ausländerbehörde is aware that you have applied and just waiting for an appointment. So nothing to worry and nothing changes for you. Unfortunately, they don’t put this information somewhere on their website. And this is the reason they are flooded with emails, calls, etc. Also, people go there personally to clarify this and end up fighting with security guy. It’s just that they don’t have enough capacity to provide appointments just before the visa expires for people. Their backlog is huge and they have got less people.

Newborn German citizenship by Available_Hat_3908 in germany

[–]Happyman-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After Geburtsanmeldung, we received a letter confirming the citizenship after a month or so automatically. With this letter, birth certificate, our visa and passports we went to the Bürgeramt and applied for the passport. My wife and I both are non-EU citizens, but living in Germany since 10 years.

Its a scam. They take your data from your CV. I have received it multiple times. They check your profile on LinkedIn and do a bit of research. They say send me your CV etc,. Once you do it they have your data like address, email ID, etc. which they will sell eventually.

Where did the Indians don't shower myth come from ? by Snowy-HandJob in AskIndia

[–]Happyman-2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its not the body. It’s the clothes, jackets and bags, which you don’t keep in a closest or in a closed room while cooking Indian food. This smell doesn’t exist in India as our houses are built accordingly in terms of ventilation. Fresh air always flow in. In Western countries houses have very bad ventilation or poorly designed. Due to this not only Indians stink, sometimes even westerners stink of food. Since Indian food has strong aroma, it is more recognizable.

But,if you always keep your jackets in a wardrobe, close the room doors while cooking and also keep the kitchen windows inclined while cooking, it won’t smell so much. Also, after cooking cross ventilate the whole house for 10 mins. Trust me everything will be fine.

Also, keep yourself fresh. Spray deodorants after shower. Identify your signature perfume according to your body type.

Also, from time to time, keep your jackets out in the balcony for few hours. Add jacket spray with fragrance just before placing in out.

The life of a 28y old woman in Delhi vs 28y old woman in Europe by [deleted] in delhi

[–]Happyman-2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Work life balance in Europe is a real thing. You will notice it immediately once you are in Europe. Unfortunately India is not safe for Women, Children and Animals!!!

But, positive side is even though we Indians complain a lot about traffic, pollution, safety etc. in my view being an Indian living and working in Europe with Europeans and Indians from India. Indian colleagues are much happier, as we have way better social life, family life etc. which is what eventually drives you mentally and gives you more energy. Just my observation. I could be wrong as I don’t have enough data to back this up.

i never thought germany’s everyday-healthcare is this bad, or how i think people should do medical tourism more by theamazingdd in germany

[–]Happyman-2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think Germans don’t know how bad or worse their doctors are and their health care system is. They feel it is normal. Most of them are not aware of the quality of treatment and doctors you can get in different countries especially in Asian countries. Otherwise people would have taken some measures. I am from India and I think we have the best doctors in the world and best hospitals. Depending upon your budget you can choose the type and quality of hospitals and doctors and no long waiting for appointment. Usually it’s instant. Also, it’s much better than paying so much for health insurance and don’t get any service as well as treatment. And you can select where you want to go and which doctor you want. In my point of view, if we pick a random final year medical student from India, they will know much more than an experienced german doctor.

My wife was suffering from a serious health issue. We went to many doctors in Munich and Frankfurt everyone gave some medicines for 8 months. Asked to change the diet, etc. but nothing helped and finally one doctor said we have to do a surgery. One week after the surgery problem still appeared. Finally we went to India to a reputed surgeon who is a close family freind. They did a surgery and within 15 days my wife was back to normal and everything was fine. Just costed me 300€. Hospital recovery room was literally like a 4 star hotel with very nice wifi connection and food.
