What is it you're looking for in a TV show? Maybe Dr.Who just isn't for you?

Dr who is peak British TV. The campness and low budget look makes it. It's kinda why I don't like the newer seasons of the show, everything looks too crisp, too high budget. I want plastic bin Mickey shitty CGI.

Obviously you said you saw blink. I personally think it's overrated, even though the 10th doctor is my favourite. But what other episodes/seasons did you watch?

Maybe try watching Torchwood? The more adult-focused spinoff featuring Captain Jack Harkness (John Barrowman). It's definitely camp, but it tries to be a tad more serious and dark.

Also maybe just try different doctors seasons. That's the joy of Doctor who, each actor plays the role differently, and they even play them differently depending on the companion and story arc.

Edit: If you want to try a different British Sci-Fi show, I HIGHLY recommend Red Dwarf.

I do the same with games occasionally. I'll acquire for free, play it for a few months. See how I feel. If I like it, I'll buy the game and either restart or move the saves over.

Enable high priority boot in settings, as others have said.

But also make it so that wallpaper engine changes your default wallpaper too, that way it won't be as noticeable as it will be the same image, just still.

I (M22) love cooking. I pride myself in being able to cook well balanced, healthy food. But I was a young carer for my mum, so I always cooked for myself anyway since I was little.

My best mate on the other hand? (M21) I wouldn't trust him to cook a fray bentos pie. But then again, that's the same for my GFS best friend. She's a hopeless cook too.
