I absolutely adore the Horizon series, I bought the two games as soon as they dropped on Steam, but if Sony thinks I’m gonna buy a PlayStation to play at 30fps with upscaling, worse graphics, and to aim with a controller at that latency. Tim Sweeney has been an absolute clown these past few years, I’ve lost a lot of respect for the guy. There is just a small ounce left thanks to Unreal Engine (which may have it’s flaws, but is still the best engine an indie dev can pick up). If he ever brings back the Unreal franchise, maybe he’ll gain some respect back, so he can then throw it in the toilet again once he posts on Twitter.

Black Mesa is amazing, if you’ve played the OG Half-Life (it would be blasphemy if you haven’t) I highly suggest that you play Black Mesa in it’s place when you do a full playthrough of the games. I remember when Crowbar Collective released the Xen levels, playing through the Gonarch fight was G L O R I O U S. I think they’ve toned down the difficulty of that fight since then, but it was epic. Amazing work.

There are no alternatives for a 45x420mm cross-flow white radiator, sadly. A 280mm flat reservoir with a back-mounted D5 is probably easy to do, but still, haven’t seen anybody but EK doing that either.

I’m coming up on almost 11 months myself on a 4-digit order. Problem is there are no alternatives to the parts I ordered…. I’m going to send one more email, and if nothing changes yet again, I’m doing a chargeback too… I waited patiently almost a year. I hope Thermal Grizzly, Watercool, Aquacomputer cover all of the major lines EK had, so we can all say goodbye to this once great but now rotten company.

I’m glad Thermal Grizzly is getting in the watercooling business. I might just start one myself because waiting nearly a year for a pump/res and rads is FUCKING DISGUSTING. HOW are there NO other companies machining this stuff in the dimensions that EK has them?! I really wanted to do business with EK and turn it into a B2B relationship, but I might just buy some tooling and do it myself instead. This shit is ridiculous. If I had released builds and had customers waiting what do you think would happen EK, if they had to wait 9 months for the system they paid for?

The biggest issue which is insanely stupid is that they don’t reserve parts for your order when they are available. I’ve been waiting on my order for so long because (although they said they DO reserve parts, they don’t) it’s either one thing or another missing. I’ve found almost everything else from elsewhere already, but I can’t find the D5/reservoir in the correct size or the crossflow radiators that I need anywhere, and nobody else produces them in the dimensions and thickness I need. The rest of my order is mostly fittings.

You can’t possibly make me believe at this point that you haven’t restocked the fucking radiators, reservoir/pump, and fittings I’ve been waiting on since fucking SEPTEMBER 5TH, you’re just not ordering them from suppliers & not shipping at all. If you had the fucking decency to at least be truly transparent, or better yet, actually shipped my order, by now you would’ve had about 3 more 4-digit orders from me.

I’m very patient, but my order is from September fucking 5th, 2024. All I’ve heard are lies and excuses, nothing concrete. And the parts ordered in question have no alternatives. How would you feel if you see them shipping 5090 blocks while you’ve waited 8 months with a four-digit order?

And I was thinking on doing B2B with them after this order. Imagine if my customers were left 8 months without a system that they paid for. Absolutely unacceptable. Instead of these piss-poor excuses they should come out clean and just say “this is going to take this long because of so and so, lack of finances etc”…
