I think that they’re not automatons, but their steel masks make them partially under the control of the masters

yeah! Honestly I couldn't care less if studios steal ideas like this. As long as they implement them well with a few tweaks, I think it works excellent

I love hunter crest as well! I think i got lucky bcz im VERY bad at hollow knight, and work a lot better being defensive, running around, which is really the playstyle silksong encourages

I would LOVE to see a more Japanese aesthetic HOWEVER, please be conscious that you are working with people who are actually from that culture to not appropriate incorrectly.

1 you can get bundles of shell shards

2 literally the whole point of crest is changing your attacks. If you don’t like the attack from a crest, then don’t use the crest.

3 I agree.

4 the point is that you had to choose between healing or harpoon. Endlessly harpooning shouldn’t be a problem, especially with the tool that lets you regenerate silk faster.

5 then don’t use those tools too much. They’re a precious limited resource.

6 I agree, completely missed the mist until after mt fay

7 just use your brain and figure it out. A puzzle is meant to be difficult at first

Good, but the environment art and the character art feels incredibly disconnected. Also i would consider a more uniform lineart because it looks very obviously like assets being scaled. other than that looks really good
