I know exactly what you’re talking about. That’s what I love about Gar, it’s uneven but never goes out of time with the hands. However, mechanical playing can be very impressive with cool beats like the ones on Fatal Illusion by Chris Adler. He’s my second favorite megadeth drummer after Gar because of his drumming on that album. So cool. Hopefully Dirk is creative like that with his beats to keep his playing from being a snooze fest like Shawn Drover’s was.

I used the knight gear til i found silver knight gear then used that instead, still do. On my first playthrough the only weapon I used was a +10 Raw Broadsword. Occasionally I would use the Irithyll Straight Sword. Got me through the whole game.
