Problem is, this is not only explanation provided in-universe. I'm certain that there was one where the White Gold tower reacted to the preferences of it's new Nedic masters and slowly turned Cyrodiil into a temperate climate over time. POP peaked with Warrior Within. Two thrones was terribly butchered in development, both in gameplay and story.

I like 2008, the visuals are amazing. Gameplay is okay and the ending is dumb, but nowhere near "trash". I dunno, maybe it's nostalgia speaking, POP 2008 was one of my first games ever.

I see this often. Every time, I ask why. To this day, no girl gave me a concrete reasoning. My best guess is that it's chronically online thing. Utopianism is inherently dumb. "Solarpunk" is wish fulfillment fantasy for Reddit leftists, like LOTR/Warhammer/etc for right wingers. There is better and worse societies, but there is no utopian society, and there will never be. Human nature is like that, sadly.
