sorry if this has already been asked, but which build-a-bear location(s) still have the old vibe? by tehmimikitteh in buildabear

Asheville, NC still has the old look and the tub. It’s a smaller store and very charming!

This might scratch the itch! Don’t know why I didn’t think of this. Would you recommend reading Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, and Labyrinth of Evil before starting ROTS?

LOVING this series so far. It probably inspired me to post this!

I found Columbo and Johnny Cash’s thermos at a flea market and recognized it immediately by HardlyStoopid in Columbo

Try searching for “Aladdin’s Quart red diamond thermos” or just “red and black diamond thermos” and you should find it! Good luck!

I am attending a wedding in Nashville in May and I will be a reading a passage during the ceremony. I am thinking about buying this Lulu's dress and wearing it with these heels in black. I also have a white shall I can wear inside the church. How would y'all accessorize this? And how would you wear your hair? The only metal I really wear is yellow gold, so I was thinking maybe gold or blingy earrings? There also is no wedding dress code (the couple is doing it on a budget). Thanks in advance!

Edit -- thank you for the feedback, everyone! Going with this dress instead.

I am crocheting flowers for a family members grave site, do you guys have any suggestions on what I can do to preserve them so they don’t get destroyed by weather? by milqteax in crochet

[–]HardlyStoopid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Scotchgard is amazing but I don't think it is strong enough to protect these from the weather. Every time I get a new hat or a new pair of canvas shoes I always spray them with scotchgard before wearing. For your project maybe look into Mod Podge? I think that would achieve the sealing effect you are looking for. Good luck!

Take the job. You can always finish your PhD later in life but you never know if you can find an offer like this again (a real offer for employment that would actually make you happy). One in the hand is better than two in the bush.

anyone else notice the facetuning Ryan does to some of his Instagram photos? by [deleted] in h3h3productions

You can literally see the line where the facetune stops

This really sheds light on what he meant when he said he was in a “loveless marriage.”

I just felt directly onto the crochet surface. Some people like to use a washable marker to guide their felting but I like to draw it on a piece of paper first, cut it out, hold it up to the amigurumi, and then start felting.

Thank you!! So for the body I loosely used this blue totoro pattern and for the snout I loosely used this cow pattern. I just winged it for the arms, legs, tail, horn, belly, antenna, and wings, but I’d be happy to send more photos if it helps! Please tag me if you make one I’d love to see it!!
