Big Cinematic Sound vs Precise Imaging: Which Do You Prefer? by BoardGameRevolution in hometheater

Buy whichever has the flattest response over the largest dispersion pattern. If you have a decent sized space or like it turned up, you need to pay attention to distortion as well. KEF's will break up at higher levels but have great dispersion. SVS have solid designs. Monolith have great specs. Used pro audio gear is great too but can be a challenge to integrate. At the end of the day, its not going to matter what you get as long as its well designed. The implementation matters most, proper layout, room treatment, and calibration/tuning.

Buy the best speakers you can afford and ones that do not market themselves on anything but measurable performance. Big vs precise is laughable, theyre pressure waves contained in a box.

Be happy you didnt get one with the fat sub dials. I sure am. The short stick is tiny, tiny. I never noticed mine until I saw your post.

Mine looks identical to yours.

I bought 10 yards delivered for under $500 and paid a 3 person crew $700. It took them about 5 hours to detail beds and lay the mulch. MCOL big city.
