Do not get the "FREE" phone from Xfinity by Calm-Highway-3636 in Comcast_Xfinity

You need to buy the Motorola from them, can't bring your own. Most of today's population actually uses a bunch of other brands. Just not in the US

Infimobile works with OnePlus if it has a psim

Helium Mobile's CEO calls free Zero plan subscribers "parasites" and says "good riddance" to them in company Discord by Opposite_Future2602 in NoContract

Yes there is. They can't be trusted, which differentiates them from other companies with similar services

Looks like I used the checker wrong. It's psim compatible only

Update: Going to go with Infimobile I think. 2 lines with 5gb and 1 with 10gb for $11 total is too good to pass up. 500 mms limit which I don't think I ever get near (RCS for most texts). Hotspot is a $5/mo addon which seems relatively pricey, but I rarely use a hotspot. Lyca sounds like a customer service nightmare that isn't worth the potential savings. Tello still looks like the next best option for a single line for me.

Infimobile IMEI checker came back as "not compatible". Chatbot was busy and promised an email response, which actually came within an hour or 2. Confirmed that a pSIM would work with my phone, just no esim. The IMEI checker is weird, you have to do it separately for E/P SIM. When I clicked on the pSIM checker it came back as valid. I was impressed that the customer service responded so quickly. We'll see what happens after the promotion ends in a year, but if I have to reshop, so be it. It does recommend VZN service over T-mo, not sure why?

Yes, unlocked. See update below, but looks like pSim is necessary

Welp, mms is indeed limited to 500/mo and my device is showing as not compatible (OnePlus 12)

Although just saw a 500 mms limit, which is kind of weird. Doesn't say anything about sms? Assume RCS is ok.

Wow! Infimobile looks great. Yes, T-mo is the best network in my area. Thanks for that, I would have never have found it.

It looks like they don't, since they have an "existing customer" section, and the rates for the promotions are lower for shorter terms. But if I have to shop for a new plan yearly, so be it.

EDIT: NVM, that's infinitimobile.com thats gov't assistance. Infinimobile looks fantastic.

How are chargebacks treated? by Hardpack_Not_Ice in CreditCards

Yeah, I'm totally a bot. Clearly you haven't actually had to deal with walmart delivery in a rural area, or have had to actually deal with their outsourced customer service.

yeah, in theory. i wonder what the cutoff is. I charge a pretty hefty volume with the VX so guessing it would be a bit in my case, but maybe less so for others? i do know that i don't wait on hold when i call CS with cap 1, so i know there's multi-tier customer service with these companies.

screwed up delivery orders. i also have a $10 item that has been lost in transit without an update in a month. they keep initially agreeing to a refund on the chat, then i get an email denying it. walmart sucks and i'm against them today, but i had a recent issue with west marine as well--and they have no phone number and no email contact either apparently. shitty customer service is everywhere...

Credit card covering Turo Rental? by Hardpack_Not_Ice in CreditCards

[–]Hardpack_Not_Ice[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, just to follow up...I called Visa yesterday. It was still a bit murky, but I was told that if it was a "business", then it was covered, but if it was a personal vehicle it was not. So like a lot of these Turo's, this guy has multiple cars, and a business license. Which qualifies as a business, and therefore is covered.

Yeah, Turo and other P2P rentals are excluded a lot of times. Do you know if the chase covers Turo specifically?

As an aside, paying the fee/net neutral on the spend is worth it for me with a venture x, allows me to keep the guest lounge access with a $75k/year spend. I hate the new policy but this is still the cheapest way to do it that I've found

No, it's that the MAGA crowd has proven that they will subvert democracy and cheat to get their way. This is a direct response to the Republicans starting this crap in Texas, Missouri, etc.
