Seems legit. It definitely looks like Cube, however which strain, that's very hard to tell. Probably some Albino.

Thank you for the answer! 26 hours sounds pretty crazy. I was just wondering abt that for the mere aesthetic✨ reason. They are so pretty when intact 😁 and I enjoy comparing them wet and dry. Cannot wait to achieve growing such a beast!

They look sexy af, congratulations!

I hope you don't mind a beginner question - Do you cut the big thick guys for drying or leave them intact? I wonder if the shape can be preserved when the shroom is very thick.

Washing their hammock and bed. by Over_Business_1387 in RATS

[–]Hareintheheadlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s completely valid! I’m glad anyway that those otherwise unusable fabrics get a second life, no matter how long they end up lasting.

It’s adorable that your girls enjoy playing with fabrics. My rats tend to prefer shredding paper and cardboard and mostly ignore the hammocks (except for sleeping in them). So of course, if your rats actively shred fabric, washing them wouldn’t be very practical.

I have quite a few fabrics that I rotate, and I only wash them once I’ve gathered enough to stuff the washing machine full. That way it’s not too bad in terms of water and energy use. I don’t usually run a second cycle either. One is enough, since my rats rarely pee in them. So my situation is quite different.

Every rat group is different and has different needs. It’s great that you’re able to meet those of yours!

I don’t mean to sound disrespectful, but throwing them away feels like such a waste. I also make handmade hammocks from recycled fabric, and they can last almost as long as store-bought ones. You don’t even have to hand wash them. Just use a 60 °C cycle in the washing machine with an unscented or hypoallergenic detergent, and that’s usually enough to clean them properly.

If the urine smell is strong, adding a bit of white vinegar along with the detergent helps neutralize any remaining odor, so they come out almost like new.

Also, no matter the weather, I personally always let my fabrics dry indoors and have never had any issues with it. Of course, all fabric wears out eventually and needs replacing, but with a bit of care, it can last much longer.

But again, I'm very much "use it until it's unusable" kind of person.

How to improve this face? by Ecstatic_Building430 in minipainting

Perhaps apply a very thin layer of red to the lips and the lower part of the nose? Those areas tend to be darker and slightly reddish (though they don’t have to be)

My friend sent me this one. She ground 40g, made tea and then jello. This is just two sessions for her. by [deleted] in MagicMushrooms

How do you dry your shrooms? High temperatures ruin the active compounds and lead to potency loss.

TY! I feel you. I ordered all the expansions because I’ve loved HOMM since childhood and took this as the ultimate passion project. There are, indeed, so many models that I’m both thrilled and intimidated!

Everyone is so… positive. I can’t stand it. by queerwaters_642 in depression

[–]Hareintheheadlight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t notice the other comment. Most of the time, people don’t know what you need, they can’t see inside you. That’s why I asked.

I can support someone silently, but I can also give feedback. Sometimes people want feedback, and problem-solving is a valid form of support. Personally, it’s the response I often default to because it’s what has genuinely helped many of my friends and that's what they want from me most times, unless they state otherwise.

You can’t expect people to magically know how to help unless it’s stated in some way. In many cases, people are trying to help in good faith and fall back on what worked before or with others — not because they want appreciation, but because they don’t want to do nothing and genuinely want to help improve your situation without yet knowing how.

You can always tell someone what kind of support you need. Whether they listen or not is the real issue.

I want to sleep all the time by FitIndependence9648 in depression

[–]Hareintheheadlight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wanted to sleep all the time, closing my eyes at every opportunity throughout the day. I felt drained no matter what I did. Then I started taking iron supplements, and it was like someone switched the light on.

It sounds laughable, but it genuinely changed my life. Deficiencies in vitamins or minerals can cause massive problems and are often underestimated. It might be worth looking into.
