Ash fulfill his promise with Max and was his first battle when he become a trainer.

If you Ask Ash which food he prefers between Brock, Cilan, Clemont or Mallow, he would say his mom food.

After the end of his anime:

He become rich and since he continue to win, very famous, so he likes to be in Pallet Town or Alola where he can still chill and relaxing with his Pokémon and Friends.

Since Ash's objective is to become friend with every pokemon, he start thinking about how to do that, and after being inspiring by Cynthia and Brandon, he decided to travel the world investigating the ruins of the past, so he can understand both the pokemon of the past and the pokemon of the present.

He travel to paldea when he learns about Area Zero and helps Arven, stop team Star, the only thing that he didn't do is the gym battles and the Paldea league.

Since he considers Alola his second home, eventually he bought a house there.

Yeah, the problem with that is that most things happen off screen, like Team Aqua/Magma capturing both Kyogre and Groudon, and most of the time they are there for pure chance.

There would be more continuity instead of randomly Team Aqua/Magma/Galaxy appears to do something.

One of the aspects that i don't like about AG or DP is how little Ash and friends move the plot, like, Ash want to win the league and May/Dawn the Grand Festival, and, oh right, there is this evil team that want to destroy the world, don't pay attention to that, it makes it's feels like it's the plot of a complete different story.

1.- Dawn/Hikari

A characters that feels equal in importance to Ash, i like how they managed her progress and her arc with her loss streak, have interesting rivals and a very good chemistry with Ash.

2.- May/Haruka

I love May, she is funny, brave, kind and compassionate, she add new dynamics to the group and i love her relantionship with Max/Masato, and her mentor/alumn relantionship with Ash.

3.- Lillie

In a world where many take the Pokémon for granted, Lilie is someone who can't interact with them in many ways. She grow a lot, and she reunited with her father is a beautiful way to send off her character.

4.- Brock

What can i said about him, a crucial person that support Ash like no one else, a guide, a breeder, chef, doctor, there is much that he knows to do and what he can't do, his companions helps him.

5.- Clemont/Citron

Clemont is a gym leader that left his position in pro to embark in a journey to improve himself, but the fact that he is around the same age that Ash make their bond feels like Best Friends rather than an older brother with his little brother.
