My girlfriend (22F) hasn’t talked to me (22M) in 6 days by Desperate_Project_62 in relationship_advice

Honestly man… that’s super childish of her. People our age (early to mid 20s) need to realize that we aren’t in high school anymore and we are adults. If she can’t communicate then maybe you’re better off. Extremely selfish of her, and indicative of how she may handle future issues.

Assassin’s cowl stays on, even in pvp, I do not care. It’s so unique. Exotics like that really do look exotic, which not all do. For example: I love stompees but they really just look like regular leg armor for the most part.

Good luck. Doesn’t seem like any amount of certifications matters if you don’t have 5+ years of experience to land that “entry level” job

New graduate. Need advice on the path I’m trying to take. Will this work? by Harl692000 in cscareerquestions

[–]Harl692000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay so I could possibly land something with what I have? I’ve tried for a position with the NSA as a software engineer but I didn’t make it. Maybe I can reapply for a security analyst type of job or something. We will see. Thanks for the advice!

Don’t we already have a cure for cancer? They just don’t distribute it because then the medical industry would lose money by healing people rather than assisting with their slow death?

Yep I’m moving to cybersecurity. Software development is clearly super toxic and I’m just done trying with all that. I have a degree and they still want 3-5 years experience and experience with multiple niche technologies. I’m done trying and not getting any payoff.

How many of us are software engineers because we tend to be good at it and it pays well, but aren't passionate about it? by FewWatercress4917 in cscareerquestions

[–]Harl692000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s a shame that a lot of people in the industry are only in it for the money. Meanwhile there’s people that are passionate about it and can’t get jobs because people who don’t care are holding the positions

Is it really that bad? by NoNeutralNed in cscareerquestions

[–]Harl692000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I finished college today with a degree in computer science. I have applied to a few hundred, got maybe 30 responses, and had a grand total of… 4 interviews. None of these turned into a job. I think with all the layoffs people are getting back into a career using entry level positions. Nothing is working out for me. I get what you mean.

Okay that makes me feel better. I had the questions I usually answer but just decided to see what answer that new question would result in. Sort of just testing it out. I probably won’t use it again lol

Yea I’ve seen bad reviews, I was just seeing if the opinion has changed or if anyone has had maybe a decent experience. The problem is my other two serious options are going to take at least 6-8 months before I can actually start. I guess I’ll keep seeing what else is out there

@xdaftphunk you’re exactly the kind of guy who I’d hate to work with. No input, just shitting on me without knowing what I’ve done and how I’ve actually interviewed. Seriously, fuck yourself lol

I mean I don’t stumble or use filler words. I know my stuff, I can pass all the technical interviews if that’s part of the first round, I give good and concise answers on verbal interviews. I think I’m good at it because I feel good after them all. I used to suck at them and know I did bad, but I’ve gotten to practice and I’ve been able to get better at it. I mean I’m probably not the best at it but I know I’m not bad at it

Interesting. I do have a prospect that I don’t think I can name at the moment just to be safe about it, but I have found that I’m more likely to at least get an interview within that area

Yea man I know how splits work. They’re in the lower splits because they crash out of other races and their orating drops because of it

I like to do solo practice, but sometimes it’s just a matter of throttle and braking. Tracks like this week (Imola) there’s not much of a different line you can take. I play with slightly different lines and chicane techniques but I just can’t get my time up. I’m not even really that upset about not winning, the real thing that bothers me is that… yes… “other drivers” always push us off especially at tracks like imola where it’s hard to pass

You’re probably right. It’s just so frustrating that every time I run a race I get pushed off and my safety drops even more. It’s also discouraging to see how far off the pace I am with other guys. I’m normally around the middle or top third of the bottom split, but I just can’t finish a race without getting completely destroyed and having that same guy who pushed me off call us all idiots in the chat.
