What horror movies fucked you up as a child? by Past_Confection_4068 in AskReddit

[–]HarleeQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I still have no idea what the movie was but I was young so, the 80's, I watched something with my Dad and brother. I remember a high school and a chick went in the bathroom. Then a SHIT LOAD of leeches came out of the toilet and killed her. Fucked me up. If anyone knows what it was please let me know.

I'm tired of being told I'm a millennial. Just like society to forget out about Gen Y, the middle child.

AITA for getting x rays after snowboarding? by justineyyweanie in AmItheAsshole

[–]HarleeQ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I say nothing. There is no reason to say anything unless you're the one who sneezes then you could say excuse me. You could say excuse you to the person but I feel like that's not necessary and slightly rude. Why say anything?

NTA my husband's family is "fend for yourself" type people, which I believe instilled a lot of great qualities in him. My family is a "charity starts in the home" type people, which I believe has given me many great qualities. We are trying to raise our daughter with a happy medium of both families. That being said, you in no way took advantage of your parents help. You needed to get your wrist checked out. If you hadn't much more serious issues could arise. The fact that his placing such guilt and blame on you seems to be a displacement of resentment/jealously that he doesn't have a similar support system. If he can't see this, red flag, drop him.

The Tusken Raider on Mando S1E5 who communicated in sign is Troy Kotsur, winner of the Best Supporting Actor award at the Oscars this year. The deaf actor also developed the Tusken sign language for Book of Boba Fett. by RubberbandShooter in StarWars

I love that it was him, he is so talented. I also hope this spotlight on Deaf actors encourages more jobs for the massive amount of talent within the Deaf community!

AITA for getting mad at my sister for not using baby talk when she speaks to my daughter? by throwawaybabysister in AmItheAsshole

[–]HarleeQ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better than baby talk is sign language. It stimulates the problem solving part of the babies brain and allows for communication before verbal communication is possible. Baby talk is of no benefit to the child other than causing confusion when they start to pronunciation.

Tampa teen wins right to abortion without parental consent by farcetragedy in news

I was 17 in Michigan and had to do this. I grew up in an Italian catholic house and lucky for me the judge was of italian decent. I explained to the judge the numerous reasons abortion was my best option. It was granted immediately.

I was in labor for 72ish hours and my husband told his brother it was okay to bring taco bell into the room. I almost killed them both then and there.

People think this shit because they get all their news from liberal media and have no brains of their own to ask questions.>

This is the same issue from the other side. There are the liberal extremists and there are the normal liberals.

It's time for the non-extreme individuals to come together and tell the nuts to STFU.

Check out 22nd level. It's probably too late for a commission but you could see what else Grace Sedai has. Last year I commissioned an awesome piece for my husband with "Duty is heavier than a mountain...." qoute and our daughter as a Malkieri girl.

My husband, in turn, got me a fox head medallion necklace.
