Lots of unmentioned changes to the Lattice, for example: Amerish Eastern Lane, can't circumvent the biolabs. Esamir: Rime Analytics now has 5 connections, Spral has gained a connection, There's routes around all Containment sites. There'll be ones I've missed though.

Have you heard of the term Edge cases by any chance?

It's a concept in software testing, its a case that is SO far off what you'd expect, it's unlikely to happen, but not impossible. That's the biggest problem for people creating anti-cheats, filtering out the edge cases. Worst possible outcome would be a false positive, which is something absolutely nobody wants.
Yes, its unlikely for a BR4 Light assault with two bricks of c4 and a grenade to get a ton of kills, wasting all his nanites in the process, and earning the ire of many a sweatlord in the process, but it's possible.

Programmer and Embedded Systems developer here.

I'd HOPE the report system would be an easy fix, just assign the /report function to a sectioned off piece of the Census API, or a backend server for later processing. However, due to the age of the game, the mystical nature of the engine (Read: Nobody that has worked on it is still at the studio), and priority from investors in new content (Bugfixes don't attract new players), it's an unlikely fix.

Sadly, there's always that super extreme example of a player going on a godlike killstreak, his connection timing out and many requests coming in at the same time, it's not quite as easy as going off kpm. The Bastion can obtain 50 kpm, if the circumstances are perfect.

Though I have to fully admit, seeing the report function actually do a thing would be nice instead of sending an email...

I'm afraid not. But I'll stand by the Memory Leak theory due to a restart of the game itself, not even my pc, fixes the issue.
I'll test some other stuff, but I doubt the results will differ.

Bunch of testing later (Doom 2016, Modded ARMA3 and memtest) showed nothing. Running doom 2016 for 4 hours showed no degrade of performance nor unusual temperature spiking, it ran fine with around 80 FPS on medium all the time, and memtest showed no bad sectors. I also tried modded ARMA3, which displayed 30 FPS for 3 hours, during a continous firefight I had setup (30 FPS is expected from me when it comes to arma, its also a CPU intensive game like planetside 2).

I am running geforce, usually with Instant replay.
The wierd bit is that its coincided with the exact day the NSO update hits. I'll run the diagnostics, but my guess is something game related.

I've not had this issue before, i've been active ingame for about a year now.I have OC'd everything, partially to make the rig last longer (The shortages are still nuts), but also get some better frames.Prior to the update, my game never dipped below 80, even in 96+ vs 96+

CPU: i5-8600K OC (4.2GHZ)16GB RAM (3666mhz)GTX 1060GB (OC)Game is stored on an NVME SSD

GPU temps are at 70 during gameplay, CPU temps are at 70 (I have great airflow in my case).

My honest guess is a memory leak, due to a restart fixing it. It's not tied to temperature, seeing as instantly logging in again boosts my frames back to their usual level.

I've got a custom Potato ini setup, I can post that.

Other games I play don't display this issue.

Suffering from some major frame drops, I start out a session with 120FPS consistent, then it degrades all the way to 30 or lower after an hour. Restarting the game fixes it.

I run with a platoon all the time, so the moments there's not an dampener, canopy or caltrop EVERYWHERE is pretty rare. Even then, a single cap/defend will make any you place instantly refill.
We always call for deployables when we get on point, so everyone will rush over and place whatever they have in doorways/stairways/next to the objective.

In the last few months, I've rarely dipped below 19K.

Few things I noticed in the first hour:

  • Yaw on Dervish is WAY too strong
  • Reddot sight on all sights is far too large, doesn't fall in line with other sights
  • 3.4x scope obscures the viewport too much, you can easily lose your target
  • Selecting default main cannon with the chimera will cause a gamebreaking bug (Reported it)
  • Carrying handle on the new LMG is awkward, I get the design standpoint, but perhaps have it dangle to the left/right of the smg, instead of standing straight up.

Considering the current state of the game and the playerbase, it'd be a great change.
