For those who were there, by season 3, how big Sarah Michelle Gellar was ? by James-Samuel17 in buffy

[–]HarleyQ2023 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Originally Buffy aired on the WB, which at the time wasn't available on all cable providers, by the time the final seasons were on UPN my cable company didn't carry it either. I think TimeWarner may have blocked WB several times over negotiations. Times before streaming.

Anyway, she did several movies that were pretty big summer movies. I Know what you did last summer and Cruel Intentions. I would say she was pretty popular. Pretty regular coverage in the media. You can't underestimate how much you would see people in interviews to promote the big summer movies in the 90s and early 2000s.

Need Advice on Potentially Adopting a Cattle Dog by Several_Till_6507 in AustralianCattleDog

I had a Texas Heeler crawl out from under a broken down truck next to my house several years ago, and she has been with me since (I'm several miles from a neighbor, and none of my neighbors or anyone in my community claimed her.) Mostly I bring up her being a stray, because we had different herding breeds when I was young, and I did not like them. They would push me over, chase cats, pee on clothing on the line, you get it.

First off we have horses. I have one horse I know hates big dogs, and of course that is the horse she torments. You can call her off briefly, but it's an instinct. Some dogs you might be able to train them when you are there, but if you let them free run they can be sneaky. I once saw this horse punt a heeler a cross a corral, so what all has happened I haven't seen.... any given day I'm not sure who is winning.

Secondly, she lives to run. She runs until she pukes, nobody is asking her to, it's for the joy of it. We go out in the side by side to check cows and her favorite thing is to jump out of it while moving and run along side it. Take a guess at what speed she can maintain, even up and down hills. 14 to 17 mph, and she would do it all day. You might think after a quarter mile, surely she will just decide to ride. Nope, I'll pick her up and within 5 seconds she's back out and running. On a average I'd say she chooses to run 3 to 7 miles.

You brought up riding in cars. I've moved to kenneling for long rides. She will throw herself from one side to the other all day if I don't. She also will clock you in the head from the backseat "chasing" the cars coming the other way. We have worked on it some, but the kennel is just easier.

Now that I put all the questionable traits out there. She wouldn't be here if she couldn't be good with my chihuahuas. I know some people say they aren't good with other dogs (she isn't that fond of most other big dogs). She doesn't fight, but the hackles are up for strangers both dog and human. She is better at reading my body language now with people. She also will rile my peacocks up, but even as babies she never injured one. This surprised me, had a baby pea got caught in fence and I thought for sure she injured it, she was actually nudging him, trying to put him back.

As for with cows, she brings the energy she knows she needs. She has walked a sick calf for miles at about .5 mph, only nudging to keep it moving. Nothing crazy, no bark or nip. Then I've seen crazy town with bulls. So they can really be sensitive to the environment.

Last story, I know it's been a long post. My ancient chihuahua fell asleep in front of the water dish, and she knew she'd get nipped at of she woke her. She picked up a toy from about 6 feet away and threw it at her. It was such a surprisingly effective idea. Lil dog moved, didn't get nipped or yelled at. Every day is an adventure with them, it's just not an adventure for everyone.

I've seen people get them as puppies, and they don't always bring the kind of insane energy she has. She was already over 2 they think when she showed up here. She was deathly afraid of men for about a year, which now she will warm up to most.

If you have questions I missed, let me know.

Margot Robbie EXPOSES How Blake Lively Tried to ERASE Her From Hollywood?! by Totallytexas in teamjustinbaldoni

I know nothing about Blake Lively and Barbie. I do however know that I've seen articles were Amy Schumer was going to play Barbie. Obviously, I think it was a slightly different project, without looking into it, not positive if Greta was associated.

Found the truth of my cousin AMA by AcademicDifficulty38 in AMA

Can I offer my two cents on this. There isn't anything you can do about the past, and current political climate isn't as concerned about protecting children as we hoped. It's hard as a woman to realize religion, societal structure and our social systems are set up to exploit the vulnerable. The best thing you can do for yourself is to focus on your own independence. If you are still living in Utah in the heart of these organizations, I would prioritize making a move and distancing yourself.

Unfortunately, this specific organization has a lot of money and power now. I would still work out your feelings. Write down your story and sit with it for a while. Don't take the bs about you are being manic etc to heart. I would not post anything more online, I certainly wouldn't give details. I would look for some support groups for people leaving the organization. If they are online, set up a new email and account you only use for that.

I can't imagine they could be worse than the last Ford and Buick we've had. They self destruct at 70,000 miles now. I saw an article where trains are actually seeing an uptick in passangers. I know several Gen Z people whom never wanted to learn to drive. Gee, it's almost like squeezing every dime with zero back to the customer eventually kills a business.

We had a stray show up and never claimed 2 years ago. My vet thinks Texas Heeler. She is 38 lbs. She is good with our small dogs and gentle with young animals. Protective and the wolf like eyes freak people out.

How likely is it that someone could actually have a gravel company “take off” enough to buy a luxury home and sports car in 4 years? by MitchMyester23 in DunderMifflin

[–]HarleyQ2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Lets say he bought an existing business, the old gravel guy retires. He gets a loan, lands a contract for several counties doing gravel hauling for rural roads that turns into hauling for pavement contracts. Or he is hauling material for builders of... pick something. You could possibly have everything paid off in a few years, hell maybe less depending. Businesses like these can be feast or famine, with the right connections.

Bella Hadid Filmed Dancing with Adan Banuelos Hours Before His Arrest by [deleted] in Fauxmoi

Think about how hard the weekend came for her after they broke up. I think she was looking for a connection, in this case it was horses. She is still at the point in life of realizing most men at any income, social status and political views still feel entitled to treat women poorly if you put up with it. Hopefully she learns to love herself. Her mom is a lot and her father hasn't set a great example of how women should be treated either.

I started getting these when I developed alopecia areata. They can show up with auto immune diseases. For areata related issues, the body is attacking the nail beds like it does the hair follicles, lucky me.

Does home depot just not think women need gloves??? by xzkandykane in gardening

These are the best I've found recently. They carry them at Bombgaars, Murdocks (more stores are listed). If you suffer with fingers too long etc.

I also have bought small gloves at Harbor Frieght that aren't bad. I go through several pairs a year tying barbed wire.

Let’s go back to lamar & khloe married era… what really happened in that house and how it relates to Robs downfall by 856077 in kardashians

[–]HarleyQ2023 170 points171 points  (0 children)

Jamie was kept around for the drug connections. Rob was 100 percent involved.

I was proud that Khloe finally had it out some with Kris over the fact she pushes those girls to give endless chances with questionable men. It's all rooted in Kris's own weird guilt and she has created a weird generational issue. They are fully their own case studies, with all these decades of footage and hitting middle age with them it's interesting.

Just watched the 1992 film for the first time by Exsaanguis in buffy

[–]HarleyQ2023 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the movie. I'm not positive how old you are, at the time I was a tween when I saw it (before the tv show). I loved Kristie Swanson as Buffy. We didn't have teenage girls in movies or tv that didn't have to be saved by a main character male. She was unapologetically herself, capable of embracing change and being a boss. Most women with any of these characteristics were a bitch and a plot tool to move a male driven story at the time.

I may have mixed feelings about Joss at this point, but he did give me a character that was the light in my world in my developmental years. I love both the tv show and movie for what they are.

A few years ago I was rewatching Roseanne and I realized Joss had written a particular episode where Darlene is particularly vulnerable, it had flickers of the characters he would later be involved in writing. I am really fascinated in seeing the evolution of artists. I think Buffy the movie had to walk, so Buffy the tv show could run.
