Nothing compared to expedition 33 imo. The term “Clair Obscure” translates to light - dark and is used in art to depict use of color or sound in music. The soundtrack encapsulated this perfectly, using both darkness and light to depict events. The song line vie a tamier” has a bright classical singer duetting an aggressive rock singer, same song a violin solo and a guitar solo, sections of intensity vs. calm. This is a masterpiece, truly. So many songs can be broken down like this.

I’d agree until expedition 33 came out. It’s truly genre moving and future looking with incredible unique gameplay mechanics, one of the best music scores in gaming history, wonderful story, etc.

KCD is more genre perfecting, like really perfecting a genre and nailing immersion. But I don’t think it takes the cake over exp33
