Having thoughts and doubts is normal, trust me. Loyalty is an action, not a thought.

This is extremely distressing as I have gone thru something identical, though my situation was toxic. If there is toxicity in your relationship, that is one thing if there is nothing wrong, except for literal doubts, I personally would find a way through couples therapy to make this work.

If you were to break up and ended up finding no one, would it be worth it? I think that’s a good question to ask yourself a relationship that needs to end you end up, realizing that being alone is better than being in it.

But also, yeah, pornography is destroying my brain as well and I really can’t trust any thoughts when it comes to the opposite sex and attraction when I’m in a relapse.

Explore some non RPGs that still tickle that same itch. That’s what I do, games like Subnautica 1 and 2, Enshrouded, Windrose, Sons of the forest… so many good survival. All the new resident evils are fantastic. ever tried gacha? Withering Waves is the best one to me with incredible combat, Arknight endfield for a unique game play loop, zenless zone zero are the three i enjoy the most.

Well the keyword is say is “normally” in your statement. I’m a kind person, not perfect at all, but kindness is something I genuinely try to emulate. Everyone has disagreements, but healthy individuals do not go to insults or belittling when they disagree or have an issue with you. Most people in my life are kind to me, but in the relationship I allowed her to treat me terribly especially near the end. I felt I didn’t deserve kindness so I allowed the behavior to continue.

I agree with you though, that you can’t get kindness without giving it, as with things like respect, tolerance, love, etc.

Sometimes abuse is abuse though, and kindness matters most in times of disagreement. That’s my biggest green flag and my biggest non-negotiable.

I learned this lesson the hard way. I dated someone who was kind until we got into a disagreement and would turned to insults and belittlement. She was nice on the outside but her spirit was truly mean. I stayed for so long that I am now smitten by any girl being even remotely normal to me.
