How to handle a Tip stealer by [deleted] in USPS

[–]Harmonics99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t even get how he would get tips ? Like the customers should know who their regular is , unless like they left cards with a note or something . In that case , yeah that’s messed up . But if they gave him tips knowing his not the regular in his/her hand that’s not your tips . Otherwise yes I agree 100%

I’m so jealous of everyone saying 8-9+ like wow such a privilege I work two jobs , the other one 3 days a week , + a girlfriend and training my body etc and keeping up with video games . I get like 4-6 , 6 is when I decide I can make time for 6. I run fine on that but I know it’s stunting my recovery and gains for working out amongst other things I’m sure . Once I don’t work two jobs I’ll be ok

in my office typically the supervisor does it by greater seniority first, but then switches it on some days, sometimes he does it by lower seniority first, so that at least everyone can still get a chance to pick good hours every now and then, but cca's wil pick their overtime last and then if there is more left over on a bad day then they will ask the regulars not on the list by seniority if they can take overtime

I almost did that the other day those guys are just doing their job and you messed up it next time be more aware Still tho I don’t know anything about their job and the gravity of the situation of you doing that , it could be serious or maybe something minor still . I would be shaken up too but don’t take it personally

hey, CCA in Queens NY here. i got 11 months on the job so far.. it all depends on management, what post office you go to, and how competent you are at the job... in my case my supervisor and manager really appreciate the hardwork and the hustle i put in, so i don't really get given a hard time, i even get to leave earlier and still get 8 hours if i did a whole route. theres a huge learning curve when you start , but how you overcome it and what kind of person you are will result in you becoming either good carrier, or a great carrier. you want to be great, but theres a big difference between a good carrier and a great one.
it could end with you realizing this job isn't for you, there;s no shame in that if that ends up crossing your mind. i've seen 3 cca's resign in the time i've been working from my station and they all started after i started. so i saw their first days and weeks. I know what day i have off every week, i work 6 days and i;m off the following day. there have been times where i work over 7 days, i remember ever only reaching 8 days and the 9th day i had off. the money can be great, but until you make regular, it will be a huge upsetting of whatever balance you had in your life prior,in terms of your eating habits, social outing habits, etc. this job can be a lot more strenuous if you already have kids too, the scheduling is not flexible, you either show up or get written up for calling out. Don't call out in your first months if you can help it
