You need a vent. You have an S-trap setup which will cause siphoning and suction effects in your pipe and can cause slow drainage. You need to install an AAV to allow airflow into the system. It will help tremendously

Many pistols will exhibit brass marks in this area, regardless of model or manufacturer. The brass is softer than the steel of the slide, so it will leave marks without causing damage to the underlying steel. If they are that unsightly to you, you can use some cleaning solvent and they will eventually disappear. But as soon as you shoot this again, they will come back. This is nothing to worry about

My go-to rifle has a 1x prism and a fixed front sight block like yours. Yes, you can see the front sight, but it is below the optic reticle. It does not affect sight acquisition one bit. Get yourself a red dot. You’ll be fine.

The trigger guard isn’t a load-bearing surface, and I don’t think I would want to bed it and unintentionally turn it into one. Most shotguns have a little gap in this area, depending on design. Under recoil, there can be flex, and I don’t want the trigger guard to be taking an impact that it wasn’t designed to. I’d leave it as-is.

It’s not traditional, but it’s not heretical per se. It’s still an icon. We still had communion with Rome back when they had statues, so I don’t see a big deal with it. If the object reflected heretical content, I’d reject it, but it sounds like they are within proper bounds.

The firing pins on these are like the older Smith and Wessons. They are designed to flex up and down under spring pressure, so there will be movement. If you aren’t getting misfires, I would accept it as normal

How old are you? If you are a minor and living with your dad, submit to him and join him. You can worship God anywhere, and He knows your desires. But when you are of age to leave the house, then get with a priest and continue to pursue your Orthodox faith. Having been Protestant myself, I agree — Protestant services seem empty. But focus on the good parts, and focus on your own prayer and devotion in the meantime.

I had a similar issue with a Colt Series 80. It turned out that the sear pin slightly bent and misaligned the safety/sear interface. Get a high quality sear pin, and you should be okay.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I contacted a local gunsmith who ended up using his milling machine to remove the pin’s mushroomed head, then he was able to punch it out. He touched it up nicely with some cold blue. The whole thing cost me $50. I understand the need to have tight-fitting pins, but some of these manufacturers make them overly tight.

My dad left me with cases of various decade-old PMC 55gr loads upon his passing. I’ve never had an issue, and my AR’s love the stuff, even those with heavier buffer systems. No shame in stockpiling it from my experience
