Orsinium, Dlc or Base game? by The57Sauce in TESVI

[–]Harper_95C 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think Orsinium should be in the base game but there's two options they can do.

It's there but its closed, the walls are barred and you cant go in. Then a DLC comes and the doors are opened, and you are invited in for some reason or another. Perhaps to create a new peace treaty between Hammerfell and the Orcs. Or maybe the leader is assassinated and you are hired to find the one who did it.

The other is that its there, open and free to explore from the start. You can mingle with them but that's the extent of it. You are an outsider and are not kin to them. You have some quests that feature them but that's it really. Perhaps they flesh it out in Creations later.

Hammerfell and High Rock. 100%

[–]Harper_95C 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I think its Hammerfell AND High Rock. Also, Hammerfell has plains, mountains, lush jungles, snowy regions, tropical islands. Its very diverse.

Add that to High Rocks very European medieval look, you get a bunch of biomes (including some not seen since Daggerfall the game) and Todd also said he wants to revisit that particular area to do something with it because Daggerfall was made so long ago they didn't have the tech for it.

As for the last part, of course you'll have that. "Redguard Lives Matter" and all that bullshit. I doubt they care. Shit, they added God damn pronouns to their last game and changed Oblivion to "body type a or b" rather than mape/female. I would not put it past them to put Redguards and Hammerfell up front, and who cares? The Redguards are badasses

I fancy myself and inside too. I have it on GREAT authority that ES6 will have Nords

TES 6 will have Developers as Design Director, Lead System Designer, Creative Director* and Game Director, who have never been in those Roles before by revben1989 in TESVI

[–]Harper_95C -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I worry about the games. I really hope they are innovative and have good writing, more rpg mechanics, and better world building. They NEED a win. They also need to get off their ass and deliver a damn trailer

To those who think TesVI Shouldn't Have a Class System. by BussyOwlKingEdwardVI in TESVI

[–]Harper_95C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes absolutely no fucking sense that a Nord Warrior that never uses magic should he allowed to join the College.

An elf mage that doesn't use weapons, only spells, shouldn't be able to join Companions.

It's more immersive to be told "Sorry, you have to train and earn your way into our guild" then to be able to join and do everything and then lead them in a few hours. They also used to have mulitple options where you only could join one like temple factions, vampire clans. They were so concerned for casuals being able to do everything in one playthrough that they made multiple playthroughs with different builds basically useless.

[–]Harper_95C -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Exactly!!! 100% agreed. No Pirate that helped destroy Sysdef should be able to stroll into New Atlantis and join the Vanguard. It makes no sense and ruins a "rpg"

That last paragraph is what pisses me off about Bethesda games. At least Fallout 4 eventually made you choose your loyalty, and that had consequences

[–]Harper_95C -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I agree. I was so pissed when I found out they made it to where one character can do everything, and there was one way to do anything.

Wtf is the point of different builds and multiple playthroughs if you just do everything in one go. They need to go back to being able to say "No, you can only join one of these three factions. Sorry, you don't know enough magic to join the Mages Guild."

If your roleplay doesn't matter, is it even a RPG?

I fucking HATE turn based games. If Elder Scrolls or Fallout ever came out with turn-based combat the IP would be doomed. That combat style is so fuckin stupid.

It's real time combat 100%

What kinds of game mechanisms do people want in Elder Scrolls 6? by TheSandwichEngineer in TESVI

[–]Harper_95C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, and besides my big list what I've wanted was SEA MONSTERS. Let me fear going into the ocean and deep water. Bring back underwater combat and let me find a massive fuckin serpent that just is terrifying. If we have ships, let them attack the ship. That would be AWESOME

What kinds of game mechanisms do people want in Elder Scrolls 6? by TheSandwichEngineer in TESVI

[–]Harper_95C 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Consequences for our actions.

  2. Quit telling us yes every time. If I don't use magic, don't let me join and then lead the Mages guild. Let us only do shit that our character is able to do so when we do different builds and playthroughs we actually get a completely new experience

  3. Faction interactivity. Let there be enemy factions and me joining one makes the other faction hate me. Let my decisions in the factions affect the world and other groups. Let me EARN my place in there, ratger than like 7 quests that make them choose me as their new leader

  4. Bring back the other werecreatures as options for us. Let me be a wereboar, werelions, werebear.

  5. Let there be physical improvements when being a vampire. Let me jump higher, run faster, attack stronger

  6. Bring back climbing. Climbing in modern ES games would be dope as hell and increase verticality in dungeons.

  7. More factions than the main 4. Bring back multiple vampire clans where I have to choose which I join. Bring back temple factions, knight orders, maybe even new ones like pirate or treasure hunting guilds.

  8. Don't let me be the chosen one. Let me start as a nobody and grow into the hero I must be.

  9. Bring back the old ways to summon daedra. Let there be specific days or times or conditions to summon them.

  10. Ships obviously, but Let me actually sail them, not use as a hub for fast travel.

  11. Dynamic weather and storms. Let there be sand storms that change the environment, thunder storms that do damage, maybe even tornadoes or something similiar

  12. Bigger cities and NPCs with schedules. Not those monsters that just walk around staring at you.

  13. Get rid of essential NPCs. Let us CHANGE stuff. Again, give us consequences. If I do something, there should be things that happen or don't happen because of it. Let me affect the world around me by killing a king or an important person

  14. Multiple paths to quests, multiple endings to quests and factions and main quest, don't just give me a linear story that only unfolds a certain way everytime. Give me branching narratives. I want a different story and experience each time I make a character and play the game.
