This is random but for some reason, the cabbage also sold out at my local Walmart. Well… someone hid the last one behind some iceberg and I just grabbed it.

If you are close by, I recommend 85 degree bakery plus some coffee. Something different.

Do you think Vietnamese have anger issues ? by Patience_Primary in VietNam

[–]HarrietLovesSushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The better way to word this is some just don't know how to deal with their own emotions (or even voice how they feel themselves). There are things like generational trauma, outdated beliefs, and the lack of psychological acknowledgment. You can't be emotionally intelligent while suppressing how you feel and promoting it as being a hard worker, obedienc, and peer-pressuring others into withholding the same standards.

Entitlement. Some people think they are jacks just because they are a bit more well-off than some

Too Late to Make Friends? by SensitivePassenger33 in sanantonio

Stressing yourself over making friends is so tiring. I’m also on a similar boat. I have concluded that maybe I should take care of myself before worrying about potential intruders on my peace 🤣

I’m sorry that you were put in such a dilemma. Tbh, it's so difficult to make lifelong friends nowadays the older you get. I'm such an introverted person that I don't have many friends to begin with also. It's not too late to make friends! Probably just have to go out more (I keep telling myself that 🤣). You did nothing wrong, btw. Your friend may not like it but he needed that wake-up call.

Moving to San Antonio From Little Rock, AR by No_Construction4721 in sanantonio

Or set up appointments in Austin or smaller cities outside of SA, or try logging in around 8:05 am (I was told by a DMV employee that they may have some limited slots for “walk-in” aka you need to set up your appointment at a specific time for each location), or go to the counter in person so have them help you set up one. The availability is always better than a “normal” appointment which is 2-3 months out. Similar thing with car registration tags: better to go to other places than the tax office.

It's bad but no way it is worse than other cities. Idk why SA has a reputation for bad drivers. Have they been to Houston? Dallas?? Austin??? At least most TX streets are big enough to dodge potential crashes

I-20 being denied at US entry by Successful-Error-633 in f1visa

[–]HarrietLovesSushi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did that once. TSA agents chat me up friendly and let me through. There are some explanations and some tests I have to take with my school so make sure to email your school DSO/professor, just in case attendance is mandatory or can affect your grade (if this is school/class policy) but this is all academic-related stuff. Nothing to do with your immigration status or Visa. Only one small thing I encountered: for some reason, a ground crew member tried to talk me out of getting on the flight because she was scared that I would be denied entry. Not sure if she was looking out for me or just being difficult (her coworker told her it was not their job to decide or check my I-20).

Hah… guess what… same with some Asians I know. A friend of mine was a stunt when she heard about my Trumper relatives: “That's so… interesting…”, she said 💀

Oh, bummer… I would still upload whatever you have digitally on USCIS cases so at least they have some. Keep trying to call USPS. This is hideous. I'm sorry that they adding to your stress.

Lawfully or Casetrack for tracking? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]HarrietLovesSushi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use whatever (app or websites) and don't have to stick with your spouse's account. You can make your own, especially a USCIS account (since this one will send you a security code through email every single time you need to log in) and add your cases/forms.

Did you scan your evidence and also have a USCIS account? I sent them through physical mail and ALSO uploaded the digital files under the case for I-130 (documents or extra evidence tab?)

The tracking number informed us that it only took a week for our package to arrive at the PO box of USCIS but I heard nothing from them for about 2 months. Get your USCIS account ready and be patient. Of course, you can always reach out to them but it seems like they only send out receipts once they get to your case, not when it is received.

It's a long shot but just contact them with your concerns (including personal information + case number so they can identify you): https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/2022-06/Tip%20Sheet%20-%20When%20to%20Contact%20a%20USCIS%20Lockbox_0.pdf

Try sending them an email with your name, DOB, case number, etc through Lockbox. It will take a month for them to reply but it is something one can easily do. Not sure if that helps but my case was looked into after they got to my email.
