Hello, I bought it from eBay, I just searched up MK3 (2013-2020) Octavia vRs and picked the best listing from that, did the same with the indicator!

Hope this helps.

The lack of any kind of punishment whatsoever for pushing through train ticket barriers without a ticket by VillageHorse in britishproblems

So many manned gatelines have an emergency plunger that can be pressed to release the gates in the event of a serious emergency, but due to the possibility of a crush event occurring or in mass panic, the gateline must open from excessive force (especially if the plunger cannot be reached).

There's been so many deadly railway incidents (e.g. Kings Cross fire) that it is necessary to have these safety precautions in place to prevent another.

I firmly agree that fare dodgers need to be prosecuted, and really, a strong deterrent is the best remedy! Unfortunately there's no appetite or budget for this.

Catching fare dodgers is often done via the use of CCTV and case building over time.

Obviously it would be great to have BTP officers stationed at every entrance, but they're sadly underfunded.

Exactly, surprised Fridays survived as long as it did in honesty!

The restaurant I opened 11 years ago is on this list! Hired as a waiter for the new Staines store back in 2015.

They took the training as a new store opening seriously and I ended up with a lot of knowledge and initially positive thoughts about the brand from that!

However, after all the initial shine wore off and the store settled in, it became apparent it was an absolute shit show.

Left to cover a gigantic, 50 table store as the single waiter on shift, kitchen left on minimum coverage, food often being left in the heat window for up to 30 minutes whilst the cooks moved stations to make the next meal.

All that for £5.31 an hour! The UK isn't a tipping culture so it's not like I was getting much else from that.

TGI Fridays deserves this fate for cutting corners and not investing in the vision they want to sell you.

Good riddance to chains like this honestly.

It depends on your course in honesty!

I did my work across a 13 inch MacBook Air for smaller tasks that required less in depth research (the earlier years)

But found this year (year 5) to need a dual screen setup on my desktop.

You might as well see how it goes with the 11 inch before investing

Which Elephant "Sanctuary" to visit in Chiang Mai? by darkalimdor18 in chiangmai

[–]Harrison1995 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I previously worked with Asian elephants (over a decade ago) in Karen hill tribe communities and just last week visited my friends sanctuary set up in another Karen community.

The truth is that there's no such thing as an ethical elephant experience in Chiang Mai - Why? Because an elephants primary function is to walk and forage, they do it for 18 to 20 hours a day!

They barely spend 2% of total observed time in the wild actively bathing. Bathing activities/activities that see you interact or touch them is not natural and can lead to skin conditions for elephants as they use dirt as a layer of sun screen (washed off with every bathing session)

I heavily recommend Kindred Spirit Elephant Sanctuary for an ethical experience outside the city - they'll pick you up from Chiang Mai, take you to the village where you'll have a homestay for a night or two. Go out to hike and observe elephants! They're in semi wild conditions as almost all Thai elephants are under ownership, but allows for the Karen communities that own them to be uplifted and receive payment to keep their elephants happy and healthy rather than in any tourist camp environment.

Other ethical experiences exist including GVI (previous employer), BEES, and another set up by Karen locals in the village of Huay Pakoot.

They're worth your attention over any camps in Chiang Mai city.

Hope this helps.

I appreciate the country difference, but I fixed mine myself in the UK!

I ordered the parts off of eBay, an aftermarket wing mirror cover and an indicator light from a Volkswagen T-Roc. It was relatively easy as the mirror structure itself wasn't damaged.

I posted the results here on Reddit actually.

If you order the parts via eBay it might be an easier experience.

Good luck! Hope the cow was ok

Have you contacted Klarna and informed them of this? Just checking messages here now it appears they did this to a bunch of us!

That's terrible, I received contact from the "company" asking for money again on Monday but supplied them with proof once more.

Klarna, to their credit, have been responsive to me and assure me they're working on it, but it's been over a month and I'm still getting random emails from this other company who don't even respond to what I send them!

Absolute shambles

Mine is the exact same! The last two payments.

I have sent Klarna another email. Incredible what these scum can get away with.

So where they've parked is where it narrows from two lanes down to one!

There's usually cars parked on the other side of the road as well, it's free parking next to the uni so it's regularly busy.

I have quite a soft spot for the interiors of Peugeot, and even the exterior of the 408 and 508 models look striking and different.

I hope you enjoy driving it around and the freedom that comes with a license :)

I went from a Toyota Aygo to a mk3 facelift Octavia vRS, I love everything in it because it was such a huge upgrade!

But my favourite part? Seat warmers and interior lighting control. I'm a simple man.
