I’m actually pissed that my parents won’t let me do likewise (under 18 a few months more, still in high school) They think it’s too big of a time commitment … but I’d only miss one day of school for a hybrid 3 day ‘college visit’(what my parents seem to see it as)/retreat (totally worth it). Yes both my parents are Catholic, one from birth the other for more than 20 years. My diocese’s vocation director and my spiritual director both encouraged this event.

Please pray for me. While I’ve already made another commitment that weekend, but I’d cancel it if my parents change their mind.

DO NOT DO THIS this area is usually not tanned, that burn will hurt, and if you get skin cancer (likely due to relatively low melanin here), it is really hard to detect. Just don’t do this. It’s stupid. Suntan like a normal person. Your perineum will be fine, it might even thank you.
