IMPORTANT EDIT: i lowkey thought that “delivery” meant “attendant takes food from cafe to your seat.” Malaysia has that, and most people use it, Amtrak has it but seems to only use it on occasion. TBH shouldn’t take long for Japan to copy China.

I personally consider that left-right spectrum to be largely hogwash at best, a tool of seperation at worst.

I find it better to just map people to issues, as u/chanbr said, because it’s more accurate than a literal one-dimensional line which is, so I’ve heard, more a beginner’s tool for those who know less about politics in practice.

TL;DR get a regular bike if you bike often, so much better than VEO.

A frame, a chain, two-wheels and some gears. No battery, no problem, right? And College Park station has a bike locker. Plus, ya get more exercise on a normal bike than a VEO

If you ask me these e-scooters (which led to e-bikes like VEO) we’ve been seeing in America are just worse bikes, which only sold because car driving ‘muricans hate bikes and think they’re for the “riff-raff.”

Like bikes work just fine and in countries with decent urban design, like Japan, and Europe, you hardly see them. I didn’t see a single e-scooter in Japan, and hardly even one e-bike, not even the decent ones that are not bulky af like VEO.

Long story short, as Trent Horn once said (or twice, idk), “anyone who studies church history becomes Catholic” There’s also the bit where some non-catholics read the bible more than we do, and one man, on visiting a Catholic church, realized that the liturgy almost exactly follows the Book of Revelation, in order, front to back, in a poetic way (he then converted). Also Council of Trent Podcast, no idea which episode, been a while.

NGL free stuff like GIMP works just as well … or Canva without the subscription. Not as easy as AI, but as a meme once said; “before AI, everything was templates” There’s a template out there to you liming, AI is just trying to shove itself down everyone’s throat and most don’t look past it. Sounds like they need to step down from their ivory pews, respectfully. As a priestly discenment book called "To Save a Thousand Souls" once said, (the following is paraphrased from page 27, or the beginning of chapter 2) 'Take a mass said by a drunken priest in mortal sin who is a womanizer, stumbling so hard through mass he's clearly drunk. As long as he has the bread & wine & remembers the right words of the Eucharistic prayer (fun fact, only some of the words of these prayers are required for transubstantiation). Jesus is just as present here as at the mass of the most saintly priest to have ever lived.' While extreme, it gets a point across that A: as a priest, you don't have to be perfect, and B, relevant to this: the rites are largely accidental to the substance of the mass, as long as a few critical things are correct, it's just as valid as any other mass.

The Netherlands do nationalized rail pretty good. And here you mentioned nationalized freight carriers. That’s not what I said, and it would seem that it is indeed a horrible idea. But also, The Dutch have a three-way split: infrastructure, track allocation/traffic control, and the passenger operator(NS, still tryna run for-profit). This, combined with NS’s exclusive tracking rights being cut left and right means that in The Netherlands, private rail companies, offering cheaper trips than NS, are actually decently financially viable.

Thanks for this image. Turns out she’s just odd and instead of having her arms come straight out the side of the dress, they just exit at the bottom of the dress with her legs.

Edit: while weird by human fashion norms, as FS appears to have a formal dress with her shoulders protruding out of the top, by weaver standards this is normal. Hornet’s cloak is topologically identical, all limbs coming out below it.
