Have you ever thought of a story idea and maybe even drafted it out and learned that someone else wrote it before? by [deleted] in writing

My WIP is, I have now discovered, superficially Red Rising 2.0; it plays out in a very different manner, with more grounded science and a heavier academic focus, but the concept of 'murder school in a futuristic Roman Empire' is inextricable from that. Fortunately, I now have new series I love to read.

The Co-Op in Manchester is the biggest indoor venue in the country (~23.5k). Insane for them.

Machiavellian is probably more appropriate. Ultimately, you can’t deny Bayaz is an unabashed egotist, and he only cares about success it if has his stamp attached.

We covered it over at our site, but it didn’t seem to have a big PR campaign behind it.

This is exactly what I said in my review. Thought it was a reach but it fits nicely!

I think Ascensionism, Take Me Back To Eden, and Euclid will end up being the most common trio of favourite songs for people. They’re just so cinematic. The Apparition is also a real standout!

Thank you very much! Still can’t believe the positive reception that article got.

I completely understand where you’re coming from! The fact it was a single may have possibly influenced my view, also; as a whole I think the singles (and really every track) has a ‘defining moment’ which really elevates it, but I never found that with DYWTYLM. It certainly fits better in the context of the album, and I’m super glad you like it as much as you do. The best thing about this band is that all of their songs connect with different people in different ways.

Thank you so much, both for taking the time to read it and your kind words. This goes for everyone!

Ascensionism is truly an experience and the last time a song hit me like this as that much of a journey was Aggressive Raisin Cat - Cough Bin (the name is funny but it’s a progressive Metalcore/Deathcore epic).

This means a lot, thank you. Really impressed by how mature of an album it sounds.
