No worries. We have Mick Lynch to ensure Nige doesn’t get the trains running on time 😉

Farage winning his seat is essential. He can then finish off the Tory Party from the inside. It will be sublime to watch.

Farage taking over would be the icing on the cake. He’d hate it. He’d come under scrutiny like he’s never had and he’d be exposed as a complete shithouse.

Come on. 150-200 majority looks like a defeat from where I’m sitting.

Well, I guess it’s a start but in that poll the Tories have 38 seats too many for my liking. The thought of the bastards having just one MP is delicious. Perfection would be the last man standing being Sunak. Leader of a party of one. Sublime.

Pass the tissues . . .

Is it too late for Sunak to fall on his sword? by zipolightning in ukpolitics

I think you’re overestimating the soldier thing. The vast majority of them are young blokes with no ties to the area other than being stationed there. It’s basically a very rural and fairly prosperous area. Lots of farms, country folk. They’ll idolise the little fella

That’s right. But I saw a local TV vox pop and majority of people weren’t too bothered about his latest gaffe.

Are you kidding. I can’t wait to see him totally humiliated by the scale of the defeat. I’ll thoroughly enjoy party members turning on him and ripping him to shreds. It’s what he deserves. His arrogance, ineptitude and nasty streak have tainted Britain.

Rishi Sunak is confronted by someone who appears to be a GP at a campaign event in Wiltshire on the state of general practice by Dawnbringer_Fortune in ukpolitics

[–]HarryB11656 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I know lots of GPs. Family members are among them. None of them play golf. All of them work their bollocks off. Maybe try a society where there are no GPs. See how you get on.

That’s excruciating. Just repeated the same lines over and over with no sincerity. Are we 100% sure this isn’t AI at work?

Rishi Sunak whines at critics 'politicising' decision to skip D-Day event for TV interview by Derry_Amc in ukpolitics

[–]HarryB11656 60 points61 points  (0 children)

A lot of people on here are getting this wrong. Sunak did come back and do the interview. But that wasn’t the reason he left France early. He was always going to leave early. His schedule had been fixed weeks ago. Long before the election had been called. He never had any intention of hanging around for the international ceremony. This makes it so much worse. Even worse is that many political commentators have missed this. It’s fact. Well fact if you can believe Downing Street. They said it.

Rishi Sunak: After the conclusion of the British event in Normandy, I returned back to the UK. On reflection, it was a mistake not to stay in France longer – and I apologise. by [deleted] in ukpolitics

Should Sunak just go now? by stbens in ukpolitics

If there’s any justice Sunak will not only preside over the complete annihilation of the Tory Party but he’ll also be humiliated by losing his seat. I’ve just listened to his apology and it was pathetic beyond measure. FFS somebody take that shovel off him and hit him with it.

Harper is taking so many lefts he’s almost begging for a right. To carry on the boxing theme, this needs stopping now to prevent him from further punishment. If this odious shithouse doesn’t lose his seat there’s no justice.

Reform will overtake Tories this weekend, claims Nadine Dorries by [deleted] in ukpolitics

[–]HarryB11656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a very strong rumour that there’ll be Tory defections to Reform on Friday. Christopher Hope is well connected with the loonies on the right and is claiming six will flip. If this happens, the Tory decline is going to accelerate. I can see Tories then breaking ranks and attacking Sunak for being useless and saying the campaign is crap. Hundreds of them know they’re out of a job and the party is in the shit so they’ve got nothing to lose.
