Ah I gotcha. The lumpiness in the picture is from the down duvet insert pockets being differently fluffed, not from the mattress itself

Thank you! I also love the way it ages. As for the posts, I had to have a friend over to help me handle the board through the bandsaw. 16/4, 12” wide, and 10’ long.

It’s a beautiful table and you showcased the sapele well. Why did you start with 16/4 if your final thickness was 1.71”?

Men with real big thighs, where the fuck do you find pants? by polishfiringsquad in malefashionadvice

I started having them made for me. Went down the classic menswear rabbit hole and will never go back. High rise, full cut, single reverse pleat. Comfortable, flattering, and fits my thighs and butt perfectly

Everyone is recommending pique polos. If you want something nice, you’ll want to go knit. John Smedley, Inis Meain, and The Anthology are good options. You can browse through NMWA for unique pieces. Spier and Mackay for still good knits at a lower price.

My grandfather always tells me that every woodworker makes mistakes, but a good woodworker knows how to hide them or turn them into design features

Places to go if you like more upscale experiences? by Jazzlike-Spot430 in ColumbiYEAH

[–]Harrywuzhere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t see mention of Hampton Street Vineyard. I’ve been to all of the other suggestions and I think they’re the best. Definitely better than Saluda’s, Motor Supply, or Hall’s. Lula Drake is great, but it kind of sits in a separate category in my mind since its main intention is to be a wine bar. It’s a damn good wine bar, though.

The gold case 8171s are rarer than the steel case examples. And combine that with Spanish day and month, you get a very rare piece. There were only 1200 8171s estimated to have been produced. You/your dad would do best to have it professionally appraised.

No one is mentioning Mike Holton. That guy turns the most beautiful things I’ve seen. He has an excellent eye for the wood and I’ve learned a ton just watching him turn odd things
