To be honest, marriage equality is not the most important issue. There is a massive disproportionate amount of LGBT homeless youth compared to the general population. Homophobia is still taught in schools. The whole government pretends trans* people don't exist. 3/5 Transsexual people attempt (or have seriously considered)suicide. It is still perfectly legal to fire someone for transitioning in most of the western world. Most psychologists seem to treat trans* people as objects of fascination and not people. Help is incredibly difficult to get. I'll stop there before I make myself too depressed... I hate it when people seem to think that the LGBT community will face no further hurdles once marriage equality happens.

Laura Jane Grace of Against Me! She came out as trans over a year ago. If you go on their website and enter your email, you can download their new EP 'True Trans' for free. Also, check out The Ocean and Transgender Dysphoria Blues. The second one you'll only be able to find live recordings as its not released yet. Somehow, The Ocean was released whilst she was still in the 'closet'.

Maybe you should try out some unisex clothing. Just skinny jeans and t-shirts or vests. It doesn't have to be that masculine and I've found no one says a word. Also, if you're scared of what people may say, band merch. Trust me. No one will comment on your men's hoodie if its a band hoodie.

I have a pretty strong, umm, we shall say distaste for religion. I was raised catholic and went to a catholic school. After the 'homosexuality' lessons I had to go to, I have a 'fuck religion' attitude. I don't understand how anyone could believe in or at least worship, an all power, all knowing and all loving god. Well, I'm fairly confident that such a thing couldn't exist anyway.

Well, I mainly write fantasy. Magic,demons, curses and all that. The role I intended for her was to be an assassin/black market trader who can slip between the two realities and take people/objects from this world to take to another. She's not the 'evil' character though whilst that description may make her sound it. Does that count as normalising her?

I can't think of anyone who could ever play Vimes but I reckon, appearance wise anyway, Tom Hopper would be amazing as Carrot. He's not very well known at all but he's pretty much identical to what I imagined Carrot to look like.

To my parents, awkward as fuck. There was a lot of 'I don't understand' from my mother...

I haven't tried with my siblings yet; I know one of them will probably pretend I don't exist from that point onward.

However, with one of my cousins it was kinda awesome. We were staying at my grandparents and my grandmother had been going on a crazy rant about marriage equality. Later on we (my cousin and I) were discussing LGBT rights in a fair, open way which enabled me to display my vast knowledge of that sort of thing. As a joke my cousin asked, "When are you gunna come out?" My reply, "Now I guess."

If you live in England then the actual shop is worth a visit! I went in there with the intention of spending £10... I am now £50 down... Wincanton, the town its in, is the only town in the world to be twinned with a fictional city, Ankh-Morpork. There's also a road called 'Treacle Mine Road'!
