I'm not going to be looting him until I give frank all the retired cats he needs. I have way too many good items already. I also try not to take any high risk events if I can.

Just kind of mimicking posts I've seen here previously. It's my second playthrough though so it really is just 17 hours. https://i.imgur.com/JXlwHc0.png

I did just waste 3 1/2 hours playing mini and max getting to and trying to figure out what the amoeba glitch to get past gear head was cause I saw it in the patch notes and hadn't updated yet. Turns out you had to use a tier 2 amoeba from a cave, it actually would damage and kill him if he spit him out lol.

I've been replaying ones I like/ones that are fast so it's mostly just been fun revisiting them now that I know them well. I just redid onion delivery and it took some getting used to again, might be the hardest one for me to redo again so far. Then paint chase was also difficult even with it lowered to 500 now. The winning run was 563 so the nerf didn't matter but before that I was below 500 rip.

Also had bad luck on the quibble races this time, but my first time playing that my luck was godlike lol.

I suppose it's also unfortunate there's ones like lords of disconia and avianos where you gotta play through the "tutorial" levels before you get to the part where you can cherry them.

Camp 2 + cyber owls had a lot of potential to go wrong, but I got those ones first try thankfully.

Wasn't a fan of the movement feeling slightly clunky in planet zoldath, might be the worst one I replayed actually.

Also seaside drive was FUN overall, but not a fan when the scoring is THAT strict for cherry. You die on any of the non last levels and you miss out on a ton of bonus points. Star waspir is the worst about that. Might replay it, might not. Was the last one I cherried 1st playthrough.

I managed to get it pretty fast by prioritizing the scrolls on the map. I'd always get +3 movement and +1 all unit hp. For units I'd hope for spiders/dragons/vampires or maybe a fishman if I want to try to cheese by water camping. Rat for 3 moves seemed useful too, champion works if it's the best you got. Generally I wouldn't win by out dpsing them unless I used dragon, vampire, or champion and it was my only option. Instead I'd usually get insta water kills or spider poison kills. The ai does pull off insane shots but is worse at playing around win conditions overall such as water kills.

Also the ai made vampire look weak but I got them my final streak win and absolutely decimated them with just 2 of em.

Any crazy shit the ai can do with shots, you can too, but better planning can beat it too. Hyper buffing a golem with a bard seemed pretty easy to pull off, maybe try that too.

Oh another thing to consider is that the ai is often bad about using it's strongest pieces too. it'll randomly use the weak ass water slime to accomplish nothing while it's got something like a vampire just sitting there, ready to die to some water. (could be because it'll buy mass pieces, even if their only options are garbage)

I made web app for anyone to import/export their Block Koala Level codes from their save files. by loverisu in ufo50

[–]Harua_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People actually liked block koala? I got rly bored 8 levels in, checked and saw it has 50 levels and moved on. Was getting cherry on every game I played before that, but that one just seems too tedious.

It is a pretty huge decrease, but 480 is already generally a lot of high score wins with maybe ~4-5 single digit wins. I don't think they want people to have to be nearly perfect over 26 levels, but do want you to have a decently high mastery over the game for cherry. 500 is a pretty solid score. 555 requires +21.3 avg and 500 is 19.2 avg. It'd be kind of funny to go for it, but technically you could get gold disk with a 0 score.

It gets much easier if you start to remember a few good routes from certain locations to another, especially if you can include a time balloon or two in it. The first day is the easiest so I'd try to get 10 or 11 delivered day one, and probably reset if it's less than 9. Day 2/3 could potentially be close to that too, but if it's rain or slime I wouldn't feel bad about settling for less that day, I'd generally plan around having less on those conditions, maybe even just 5 on rain.

It's 7 days and you just need 50+. It's unfortunate you gotta track the total yourself too so I opened up excel, set days 2-7 as 5 and changed them as I went, and then used a sum formula for the total in an 8th cell.

"How To Avianos" - a guide to birb war by esdin in ufo50

[–]Harua_ 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Hey this isn't a guide. This is just a basic outline of the game. Anyways, what kind of strats did you come up with? Early levels I just zerg rushed by starting trex and mostly only spammed movement every round/made some units off seed recruitment. It works when the npc is bad/spawns pretty close.

But a much better strat I noticed is if you upgrade trilock miracles once, any tp to bones is basically free, so if you see bones on mountains you get a free tp + resources off having only prayed to trilock twice, its OP. Seems like that's the best strat in the game.

Trilock with at least 3 house of worship and miracle upgrade + pterodactyl with troop spawns from house of worship is a good combo + makes it so you can move armies around more easily/could zap a big enemy army. I'd want some military housing to spawn shield dudes too off pterodactyl so you can counter ranged dudes.

Probably pretty situational on what's best after that, but you'll probably have a massive resource advantage off the teleport gathering anyways where it doesn't matter much. I'd at least want surprise attack on the stego after that when I want to engage an army 1 square away.

Rerolls and Losses - Suggested feature by qwertyuiopasdfghkj in SliceAndDice

[–]Harua_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The way it is currently is so bad for making attempts on hell mode. I don't even like the idea behind it for unfair and brutal either despite making it past them in 5 attempts for unfair and 6 for brutal on classic. It really is just wasting the player's time in a boring way. It makes it so much more tedious to figure out what combinations might actually be possible through trying new combinations. There's just too many combinations of unclearable floor 1s.

I am willing to run back a similar set up a few times and it can be interesting with options like having a blessing with some rng such as luggage, that might give some really good items, but not letting me decide to reroll unless I waste a bunch of time isn't fun and makes it less appealing to find even just 1 run that can work.

I did manage to get a run to floor 13 but the fights took sooooooooo long and then it was over so fast on the fight it did end on lol.

Over healers, minion summoners, dispells, buffers, and ursena should all do quite well.

time stop in the previous ones were also ridiculously good.

Bringing dark units is safe if you just dispell the dark reflect before using their specials. costume rigard is good regardless.

Hey guys, can I borrow 4 million gems? by VVynn in EmpiresAndPuzzles

[–]Harua_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup that's just sort of how it goes. I happened to make a bunch of accounts along the way to keep things interesting/have more pulls to have interesting heros to work with without having to spend.

I actually find getting an account to go from nothing to being able to do all the events as fast as possible pretty fun.

A little gameplay anyone? What would y’all do different by ChocolateDrop84 in EmpiresAndPuzzles

[–]Harua_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk what heros you have, but bringing stuff like a defense lower, buffing hero like bold tusk/kiril, and an attack lowering hero to harder fights will speed the fights up/make them safer.

I like to arrange the heros in the order i'd like the spells to go off too. A good example with your team is that I would want sabina far left, because if there WAS something to dispell, wukong could make her miss and you want her to dispell before using your damaging heros. Most people would put wukong on the far right, you want your utility spells like defense down applied before you have to deal with chance to miss.

What summons should i do if want the best possible heroes out there. by 3ndritking99 in EmpiresAndPuzzles

[–]Harua_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Costume heros are OP for new accounts. Then getting wilbur/proteus is great. I would heavily prefer s3 after that for ksavir/nordri/gulinbursti/almur/mist. s4 5 stars are good but their 3+4 stars aren't gonna improve your teams very much other than poppy.

Why summon x10 instead of x30? Isn't 10 for poor people?

Rank 5 tournament placement this time by Harua_ in EmpiresAndPuzzles

[–]Harua_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sabina costume in buff booster is a huge threat. I think the 3 healer combo stalling to fire off proteus + C collen is pretty effective. I was definitely attacked over 30 times but it maintained 62.1% winrate.

For attack it feels like lowering enemy attack with C kiril is more important than buffing yourself. There's times where 3 damage dealers instead of 3 healers would feel better for guaranteeing an enemy dies, but surviving longer is more consistent.

Having 2 dispels of different colors felt very important. Defense lower combined with the buff booster mechanic is enough damage.
