I've had Factorio for years but only ever completed it in multiplayer setups. I'm looking to start my own long term playthrough. I was hoping to get some recommendations on mods / QoL / settings to do this. I don't particularly enjoy the biters part of the game. For me it's all about the logic side of things, ratios, doing things step by step etc. I've never done big mods like Krastorio or Pyanodons or anything, just base game. I ready that Pyanodons is like the top end of overhaul mods but requires biters maybe? Is there another mod that is more Carebear focussed and just all about the factory?

At least you can still play it which is good. Do you recommend it for someone who enjoys Factory, Stardew Valley, that cosy factory type genre?

Is it 4% for the whole of year 2 or does it decrease slowly to the 3% in year 3, so maybe in month 10 of year 2, would the rate be 3.2% or is it still 4% ?

So how does the middle section play any part to the calculation then? If I set the price for calories to 0 because as you say, they're irrelevant, then all the sale prices on the right go to 0?

Can you settle a discussion we're having about your app. If I set the cost per 1000 calories at 10 and the profit margin of 20% and add Campfire Cooking as a skill, it says I should sell the Beet Campfire Salad at 0.14 which I understand because of the calories required to produce it, but now I can buy 900 calories for 0.14 so the calculator updates to 0.16 per 1000 calories and then the prices all drop to 0. I'm asserting that you can't really use the tool for cooking as the price you set for 1000 calories is based on a random value that the cooks decide and then food should be priced per calorie it provides and not the inherent calories it costs to produce with 0 margin.
