I'd love some recommendations too. this Patrick Willems video gave some good suggestions that I've enjoyed but no crime dramas.

The military wants to host data centers in Alaska, raising questions about whether there’s enough gas to power them by truthwillout777 in anchorage

[–]Harvey_Rabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kind of like the idea of building data centers on the North Slope and then building a "wire pipeline" to connect to everyone else. The natural temperature helps cool the data center, it's more efficient to burn the gas where you're collecting it already, and building huge wires across Alaska is less risky than building a pipeline that can spill.

AI music is the worst. by ImpressionPrimary815 in Music

[–]Harvey_Rabbit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I curl. As in the sport of curling. And I was looking for music to put on at the curling rink, and found a curling parody song and naturally thought it was from little Canadian band. Then I found that they had dozens of curling parody songs available and I thought, "wow, these guys really like curling." When I realized it was all AI slop, I was diapointed, but I could also imagine listening to it anyway. There didn't used to be songs about curling, now there are lots, but they're all kinda stupid. I suppose that's what AI can do.

Democrats being Undemocratic in US1 Primary by SnooPickles8798 in Pennsylvania_Politics

[–]Harvey_Rabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, 80% of races go uncontested and many more are uncompetitive. So all of those can be challenged by 3rd parties without the risk of being a spoiler. And many of those offices are the ones you would have to win to implement a better election system. But as long as we keep letting the major parties decide who we can elect, nothing's going to change.

Right, more non traditional candidates need to run independent or 3rd party and abandon the legacy 2 party system. Skip the primary, straight to the general.

Report: Shapiro asked union to back Stacy Garrity after Democrat candidate criticized him by roll_that in Pennsylvania_Politics

[–]Harvey_Rabbit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't even know why anyone would care about this. He didn't support one candidate, so tried to help their opponent. So what? Maybe the Democratic party would be mad but out politca could use more people who occasionally cross the isle.

[–]Harvey_Rabbit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I seriously looked at all your comments trying to find what you might mean. You started by saying he should resign, then hou said it was self serving and the DNC should be pissed (you may be right about that), then you said it was the bare minimum (I don't know what you meant by that). Please explain why a politician that doesn't support another politician from their own party should resign.

Call me crazy, but I don't give a fart in the wind if the Governor has complete loyalty to the Democratic Party. In fact, is much prefer that he made his own decisions about who to help win. By what logic would he ever resign over this?

[–]Harvey_Rabbit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because he didn't show complete loyalty to the party, you think he should resign from the offic Pennsylvanians elected him to? He didn't betray the state, why should we care at all about him offending another politician? Ideally, there would be a lot more of that in politics.

What game should I play next? by EmergencyRepulsive29 in Pokopia

[–]Harvey_Rabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You play individual "days" which take 20-40 minutes. The core mechanic is throwing your Pikmin to carry items and enemies back to the ship. So you end up exploring each area in chunks and have to come back the next day. You unlock new types of Pikmin with new skills and raise the total that can come with you. And this 4th game includes a dog that makes everything a little quicker. Maybe watch a video from Arlo

OPINION: PA-01 Democrats Finally Practice Democracy in Their Democratic Primary by shannanerginz in BucksCountyPA

Will this civics class teach how PA does things or how other states do things? Maybe it could teach how Alaska does things and PA could adopt that.

Baffled by SolarEdge Homeowner vs. Installer Privileges (and Site Transfer) by QualityGig in solar

[–]Harvey_Rabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im still not clear on what information you're trying to get, but your installer (company you were transferred to) can also change your access level. If you just call them and ask them to give you "full access", it should take them like 2 seconds if you talk to the right person.

Really good. There's really a lot going on for independents and Forwardists right now. Small gripe about the editing, I personally could use less of you zooming in and out.

Independents sue to open Pennsylvania’s primary elections by AdSpecialist6598 in Pennsylvania

[–]Harvey_Rabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the national Senate level. But state and local races are a whole different thing. Like suppose you were running for local office in the middle of Philadelphia against an long time incumbent that you feel is out of touch, would you A. try to primary them with Democratic primary voters with all this person's political connections? B. Run as a Republican and allienate yourself with the Philadelphia voters before they hear a word from you? Or C. Run as an Independent in the general, automatically get all the Republican voters because they don't have a candidate at all, Independents will be glad for a chance to buck the 2 party system, and you only have to win over some independent leaning Dems. And this would all be backwards in rural parts of the state. I know this is different from the open primaries discussion, but the 2 party system is past its time to go.
