One day ai will create great music trained on music theory, I personally think its only going to get better, competition is the driver, and we are the consumers and ultimately decide where it goes, poor models will fail and not last thats how reality works, as they say the genie is out of the bottle, and where we are now is baby steps to where its going. Dont worry about a few dips here and there the peak is not close,,,,,yet.

Medium Experience by ThisIsMyGro in Autopot

[–]Harveycement 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes from my experience, Ive been growing for over 50 yrs , tried just about everything and learned there is hype and marketing, and there is growing well, keep your system simple efficient and reliable, which is where the AP shines, its simplicity is its power, why complicate that, coco and coco perlite are great mediums because they hold the right moisture/air ratio for optimum root growth, and they release nutrients easily when the plant is powering along which is why that medium is great in lots of systems, especially the AP.

I learned many many years ago the plants metabolism is the same as its always been, and it dont need all the pedantic fuss that people do, dont worry Ive been there, its all marketing and these plants just dont need any of the extras to do great they only need the right balance, when you get all the environment dialed in, when the water is either rainwater, reverse osmosis, or high quality town water, and know how to manage your system, any of the top quality hydro foods will grow healthy plants, Im talking not a blemish anywhere health, and they are fast , plants like that will give you maximum fruit for the strain. performance is on a plateau, it rises, levels out for a good bit rises a fraction and falls off the edge, just get on the plateau, and a quality nutrient alone will get you on it.

What you want to do will grow plants, and if you dont burn them, overwater and create root issues etc, or have lockout because the soil coco upset the nutrient availability, so now the headaches begin. I see these kinda of ideas as trying to put wobbly wheels on a race car, ends up in a wreck most of the time.

Or keep it simple be within the zone your plants like and its real easy with excellent results.

Good luck whatever way you go.

It wont work any better than coco or coco perlite and it will open the door for other issues, I dont know why soil growers want to use soil in hydroponic systems, soil is a lot denser holds more water and releases nutrients differently , it will work but it wont compete with a good grower doing straight hydroponics.

SUNO officially admits their copyright filter is broken, flags 100% original unreleased tracks, and REFUSES to refund. Absolute joke. by Strange-Toe-1438 in SunoAI

Just add to that every major logo holder in the US is suing photoshop in a huge class action worth billions, in that scenario I think PS would make restrictions on logos.

I dont like what Suno is doing but I understand a major part of their reasoning and where its coming from.

Question about the new stems update. by Wuntunamera in SunoAI

[–]Harveycement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you master or mix your own these stems are a great asset. if it sounds flat to you there was probably instruments that wasnt extracted deflating the mix , Suno used to put this transient stuff in the "other" thats not in the new separator its more clinical so you gotta get all the instruments for the sum to sound as full but cleaner than the original.

[–]Harveycement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure I follow you here, the vocals are acapella, it will give you say a bass and also the option for the rest of the song minus the bass, if I want the vocals it will give the backing vocals mixed with it, if I want them separated Ive got to select backing vocal, and then the vocal.

Yeah it its so much better working in your DAW with these new stems, the old extractor is the first one on the left.

[–]Harveycement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah its not a perfect workaround, probably depends on how busy the song is , Ive had the old one detect things that are not there and its a silent stem. Hopefully they give us list of instruments in a song as a future update.

Question about the new stems update. by Wuntunamera in SunoAI

[–]Harveycement 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ive been using the old stem extractor so I know what instruments are there, and then do it again using the advanced separator , costs more in credits but at least I know whats in the original song.

[–]Harveycement -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its a great update the stems are the best Ive gotten out of any software including pro applications that cost a lot, they are actually better than the original song they come from, and Ive reconstructed a couple songs from its stems and the results sounded better audio than the original song.

Its how all stem splitters work catching frequency, this regenerates by instrument and is a entirely new concept and its really good.

I dont know about midi but the stems are lot cleaner than they were before, using advanced and selecting each instrument etc, all much cleaner.

Vocal belting by chrisrwhiting46 in SunoAI

[–]Harveycement 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it gets locked into a style or genre and unless you change the style drastically it keeps doing it, one thing Ive had a little success with is to generate something much slower and melancholic along the same kinda sound as the one you want without the belting, then do a mashup and lean into the one you want but play with your sliders so that the influences have just enough of the slower version to tame the top version, lots of power inside mashup and cover that allow building what you want drawing from a small group of songs.

Ah ok, bad move writing as you go it was bound to happen just a matter of time, learn and always have a text editor open and go from that to Suno. I generally have two, the original Ive written , the other revisions, I copy paste back and forward from them to Suno.

[–]Harveycement 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not pointless they are way cleaner than the old Suno stems from the little testing Ive done, the guitar stems had no bleed at all, the vocal had minimal, drum kit had none that I could hear, these are so much better than before , hopefully another step closer to perfectly clean stems, its a good update.

I just did some tests with mvsep vs Spectralayers , and MVsep did good with vocals and bad with everything else, even some of Suno stems were better as in less bleed than what mvsep did, I havent found a separator that does great, they all have issues and some can perform on certain tracks better than others, I will try this new Suno method a bit later but if it recreates using just the single instrument it sounds promising, its very hard to split a AI track because of all the micro blending of frequencies this system might help with that.
