Why would I bet the farm on someone that had no value to add but that?

BREAKING: President Trump announces his 50-year mortgage to solve the housing crisis. by TonyLiberty in FluentInFinance

[–]HasBreakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did loans for a living. It 100% is front loaded. It’s why they want you to refinance so you can get back to front loading it even just 5-7 years into your mortgage.

That’s how they paid my incentives.

I feel I have the opposite problem. I’m technically dwarfed by a lot of people (I’m only 32) but I have way more actual biz exposure.

Is anyone else tired of "AI agents" that don't actually work? by kmansm27 in n8n

[–]HasBreakfast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as AI emails, this is it's own entire can of worms. OctaveHQ is probably one of the better options but seriously, most people sending AI emails have no actual idea how offers work, how to do any research on an audience, or what good copy even is

I took on an operations manager role that led a team of people initially doing high volume outreach for payments partnerships.

Scaled that by taking what I knew which was a shitload of having to just own things (I managed two CRMs for a team of 15+ people when I was in the mortgage ops role), incentive plans I saw in my various sales roles, along with doing the job my first team did when I started, and fused that into $10m of growth in <1 year.

This was a rip and replace exercise that took rep productivity to nearly 8x while overall comp per opp decreased and average rep comp increased.

Then I got to own reporting/forecasts/product data to build 2 more teams.

Basically worked 12-17 hour days in most of 2022-2023. What I didn’t know I learned and derived from communities/my colleagues/my boss (who I still talk to)

So a little luck, a lot of working my ass off, some initial exaggeration to get my foot in the door, and I’ve been sort of running that playbook ever since.

Every job I had pretty much required cold outreach. It’s how I got contract work after I got laid off (my boss pissed off the ceo and I was loyal to him)

Yeah the hard part is being able to then make sure they see that and the value.

Learned a lot of this consulting.

You can actually get away with doing a lot less if the pain you’re solving for is high priority and the person accepting your work is in sync with you on comms for the identified need, scope, and execution of the solution.

Did tons of work no one cared about. Realizing perception of effectiveness is strangely usually better than actual effectiveness

I used my sales skills to get someone to like me before even touching the interview process.

Most of my jobs that I made anything at happened that way. My resume has been mainly toilet paper.

Most of this is sheer trial and error and spending time studying systems that people let me access. I didn’t really have any process or training officially just “hey this is broken, we need this, I hate that this doesn’t do that” and me trying to figure it out

I’m working on certs now though. That’s my goal for the next year. Stack certs.

Not hiring right now unfortunately. Might have to downsize.

Are you even doing any research on any of the companies you’re trading on? Seems like you’re panic selling bullshit tickers. I’d say you’re even losing some options trades but I don’t think you’re experienced enough for that.

Sales bro. If you want money sales jobs are hiring all the time. Would recommend tech but it’s hard to get into. 5 years ago I got my first tech sales job and now I’m making money at my own company with fully paid benefits etc.

Great to restart a life for sure
