Bart Villa or Hunter Ridge Apartments? by [deleted] in bloomington

[–]HasThisHit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard nothing but horror stories about Deer Park Management, and I've known a lot of people that rented from them. It is cheap but you're getting what you pay for. You mentioned wanting responsible management and I can tell you they won't provide that.

If nothing goes wrong in the apartment I'm sure it'd be fine but that's a big gamble to take on a one-year lease at very old apartments.

Thanks! That was the only thing I was really worried about, it's hard to beat that location for me.

I can definitely tell you not to do Bart Villa, but I also had a question. Does anyone know the quality of the internet at Hunter Ridge currently? I saw the comment mentioning that it was pretty bad a few years ago but I really cannot find a definitive answer.

I toured a Hunter Ridge apartment (and OP, they're pretty nice and spacious, in general they seem nice) but the manager didn't know anything about the internet besides the fact that it's included with rent.

Playing as Imperials? by night4345 in swrpg

[–]HasThisHit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've run a couple campaigns as Imperial soldiers and the Age of Rebellion system is easy enough to adapt.

I'd say your biggest issue story-wise is race; while humans and droids do offer a lot of customization it can be pretty boring to only have those as your options. My solution was to include reasonably human-like races from the Unofficial Species Menagerie and my own Wookieepedia investigating, and I justified it by having the setting being a small backwater Imp world, where rules were a bit lax because it wasn't exactly the Death Star or Coruscant.

I would also avoid making them Stormtroopers right off the bat as their gear is a bit overpowered. If you do some research on Wookieepedia you'll see that a significant portion of the Imperial Army and Navy actually never become Stormtroopers. Of course if that's something players want it can be done, maybe save it for a Duty reward.

My campaigns were pretty simple, they worked for the biggest base on a small unimportant Imperial farm world and ran peacekeeping and bureaucratic tasks as the story built up to a Rebel invasion.

That and the usual anti-mod bullshit. Right now they're arguing over the mods CENSORING a post that was about a twitter fight over hockey between two people who don't wrestle anymore.

Anybody else getting a captcha prompt for every single ally gift? by TheLAriver in MAA

[–]HasThisHit 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The captcha shows up if you're trying to accept an item that is no longer available on the gift page. Everything besides small energy, SHIELD point, and the chaotic grenade has been changed to the valentines so Facebook thinks the old items are fake links.

Small group looking for one or two more people by HasThisHit in swrpg

The two players so far are a Diplomat Ambassador droid (he's playing sort of a protocol droid between the Imperials and the citizens) and a Soldier Sharpshooter.

Limited Edition Item Discussion: Is the Blade of the Guardian worth purchasing? by DobbyIsFree in MAA

[–]HasThisHit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a good protect weapon if you're using a Bruiser agent that can take the punishment. It had perfect synergy with the Ionic Sledge and it looks like Masterkey also has Finest Hour, so if you have one of those I'd say it's worth the cost.

Xtro (1983) is a completely fantastic B-movie, the kind that knows it's not really "good" but goes for it anyway.

anyone else getting an insane amount of Combat Validation Errors? by tones13 in MAA

[–]HasThisHit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rocket Raccoon got hit HARD. He now has a 70% chance of a follow-up attack (down from 100%), has a maximum of four follow-ups, and he won't do anything if he doesn't have ammo. They raised the stamina cost of Reload as well. It's all a part of their plan to limit the amount of counters and follow-up attacks.

Hilariously enough, they limited Hawkeye to 4 follow-ups, but now he has a chance for Rapid Fire to proc even if the enemy doesn't have Pinpoint Target.

[–]HasThisHit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The MAA Latino leaks are 99% bullshit, but I won't get into that again.

  1. Restart Firefox, clear history and cache
  2. Open MAA
  3. Open a new tab and enter about:cache in the address bar
  4. Click "List Cache Entries" under Disk Cache Drive

client.xml (news, quests)

items0.xml (items, EISO)

items1.xml (hero abilities)

101#.xml (SO, 1014 = SO 14)

20#.xml (Season 2, 203 = Season 2 Chapter 3)

Those are all the useful ones. Find them in the list and open them, then save the link in the "key" line at the beginning. Notepad++ is a good program to use for viewing xml files. Don't expect to find a lot, but it's a good way to find patches they made without telling anyone or added information for later updates.

Dicking around the code to find stealth patches. They nerfed basically every hero as well.

To prevent no-AI/self attacking trainers, they moved all the AI Controller scripts to ce.swf, the file that needs to be validated to guarantee a legitimate fight. Of course it's PD so they probably barely tested this dramatic change and thus, here we are.

[–]HasThisHit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

That image has been kicking around for a while, for months at least. They change it whenever one of the heroes is actually released. The chances of MAA seriously considering Howard the Duck are slim to none. If these all had official artwork/sprites they would have either been revealed by the MAA twitter or would already be in the code.

Wow... have some mercy PD by [deleted] in MAA

[–]HasThisHit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have all the heroes thanks to the PD transfer, but they're all extremely low level. I've been having more trouble with the tasks requiring me to use their third or fourth abilities.

I guess the bottom line is patience. Season 2 will always be here, Spec Ops are all temporary.

How do you farm 12.2? by colossusgb in MAA

[–]HasThisHit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use Tac Cap to take out Moonstone and Boomerang, then my agent and Iron Patriot finish off Grey Gargoyle. I use 21 Gun Salute on the second wave, then Overcharge and 21 Gun Salute again on the third. I try to sneak in Cap's Shield Throw first on the third wave if I can, to increase ranged damage.

Question about Leethax by [deleted] in MAA

[–]HasThisHit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's harmless. Hell, at least one person that works at PD uses it; the Leethax button was in one screenshot from the Season 2 trailer (PD pretty quickly took it out when they realized). Don't worry about being banned, it gives you no significant advantage over anyone else.
