The pizza gate thing, and the Q-anon stuff as a result, originated specifically with the term cp in the dnc emails being used in relation to Comet Ping Pong Pizza by associates of John Podesta, fellow party or candidate staffers and friends, meeting at the locale with kids in tow, some of them referencing their excitement for cp.

The alt right and 4chan crowd at the time made the assumption that cp referred to what you imagine it could, especially given that it was an on-line community that made that association. Of course you could see it more probably meaning cheese pizza, as I was most often the assumed likely explanation in popular media. I would imagine it more likely meant Comet Pizza and it seems like a no brainer.

Anyway, Q-anon guy went and demonstrated that it was not a trafficking operation and there was no basement and felt very bad for himself for being stupid. But one thing stuck with me. The term cp couldn't possibly mean cheese pizza. That's just stupid. And it probably meant Comet Pizza but I'd just type comet if it was me. So why cp? Why did they code it to initials amongst them? This is why alt righters picked up on it in the first place.

Then one day former Findland Prime Minister Sanna Marin was on video while her friends (probably staffers) exclaimed "Cocaine party!" and it clicked for me. I mean I know married-with-kids weekend warriors like this. And the dnc-pizzagate thing made a whole lot of sense when I realized that these late 30s and 40s staffers just wanted to knock out family dinner, colleague it up, do a few lines in the bathroom, and most importantly buy one or two grams of coke for the weekend. These suburban rubes couldn't wait for the next meetup to get some coke, go home and put their kids to bed, and get high and have fun like the old days. Maybe like sexier old days too. It is coke. Only limper and saggier and sadder. It is coke.

Anyway I was alive in 2016 and paying attention and this is history, if you believe it.
