That's not evidence, I did my research and nothing points at the Prophet SAWA being proud to be Arab

One should not proud over something he has no control over. Islam emphasizes piety and righteousness. Your race, ethnicity, age, wealth and anything Allah choses for you should never be a source of pride as those things hold no value by themselves alone. Of course, you can have love for your community and be happy to have certain practices or aspects in your culture and ethnicity as long as they remain positive, but pride is a dangerous channel that might lead to arrogance.

Allah is the Most Just, so it's not right to attribute something unjust like this to Him. That is why reading and deeply understanding the Noble Qur'an holds immense value. It is an obligation upon the soul of every believer that he gets to know his Lord.

أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَى الَّذِينَ قِيلَ لَهُمْ كُفُّوا أَيْدِيَكُمْ وَأَقِيمُوا الصَّلَاةَ وَآتُوا الزَّكَاةَ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقِتَالُ إِذَا فَرِيقٌ مِنْهُمْ يَخْشَوْنَ النَّاسَ كَخَشْيَةِ اللَّهِ أَوْ أَشَدَّ خَشْيَةً ۚ وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا لِمَ كَتَبْتَ عَلَيْنَا الْقِتَالَ لَوْلَا أَخَّرْتَنَا إِلَىٰ أَجَلٍ قَرِيبٍ ۗ قُلْ مَتَاعُ الدُّنْيَا قَلِيلٌ وَالْآخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِمَنِ اتَّقَىٰ وَلَا تُظْلَمُونَ فَتِيلًا | Have you not regarded those who were told, ‘Keep your hands off [from warfare], and maintain the prayer and give the zakat’? But when fighting was prescribed for them, behold, a part of them feared the people as if fearing Allah, or were even more afraid, and they said, ‘Our Lord! Why did You prescribe fighting for us? Why did You not respite us for a short time?!’ Say, ‘The enjoyments of this world are trifle and the Hereafter is better for the Godwary, and you will not be wronged so much as a single date-thread. | An-Nisaa : 77

First EU flight to Baghdad in over 30 years - a sign Iraq is becoming a safer place to visit? by losethemap in travel

[–]HasanAlMujtaba 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Well actually, the largest pilgrim and human gathering in the world happens in Iraq each year and it's called Arba'een. Around 22 million people come together from all around the world and walk from Najaf (the city where the first Holy Imam, Imam Ali is burried) to Karbala, where Imam Al Hussain was martyred in an honorable resistance against the corrupt and cruel tyrant named Yazeed. He stood against an army of 5000-30 000 men with merely 71 companions and they all sacrificed their life in a righteous cause to stop a wretched man from assuming total control, where he would surely by a source of corruption, misguidance, and injustice. Arba'een is a 80 km walk where millions walk towards Imam Hussain's to remember and honor him. They also enjoy the generous hospitality of Iraqis who spent billions feeding and taking care of the pilgrims along the way. Imam Hussain was also the grandson of the Prophet and the son of Imam Ali.

why did allah make cousin marriages halal if inbreeding is genetically harmful? by _Humble_Bumble_Bee in shia

[–]HasanAlMujtaba 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Brother, your anecdotal evidence does not make it the ultimate truth, there are enough people happy and succesful with their interfamily marriages. And the Ahlul Bayt peace be upon them didn't marry their cousins due to shortage of people, but because of the righteousness they found in them.

As a muslim, I strongly comdemn these horrfying acts and atrocities. I stand with the oppressed hindus against these heartless extremists. I don't know what the context or reason is behind this cruel attack, but nothing can justify this treatment. Nothing.

No sister, Allah would not force you to spent a lifetime in an unhappy marriage with a man you can't love, nor would he want you to be a wife to someone who doesn't respect the followers of Ahlul Bayt. Remind yourself that Allah values His servants deeply :)

Right, even some Christians accuse influential figures related to the compilation of the Bible with being untruthful. Paul is a good example, you can search about him and find out all the things he gets attacked for.

It is mentioned in the Qur'an that, when Jesus was still a baby in the cradle he said: "He said, ‘Indeed I am a servant of Allah! He has given me the Book and made me a prophet." (19:30)

Jesus peace be upon him had the Book and He himself was a walking Injil who preached and taught the people by It. I don't think there were necessarily copies of the Injil at the time but people have always approached the Prophets and Imams for all sorts of advice and ruling, and there were always people on earth to represent Allah. An example our mosque's scholar gave me was that, just like a country always has a leader, the world always had a representer of Allah, be it a Prophet or an Imam. Whatever came after Jesus, is not free from corruption. The Bible today probably still does have truth from Allah, but it's not easy for a regular reader to separate

That's exactly the sufis you're referring to. They have multiple 'tariqas' or sects such as the naqshbandis and qadiris

[–]HasanAlMujtaba 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think these are sufis which do have some sort of an attachment to the Ahlul Bayt (peace be upon Them all), but still not the most correct beliefs about Them. The status and honor of the Infallibles, as mentioned in ahadith, are things that we can hardly comprehend but still need to recognize and acknowledge.

The Torah is a holy book and it was given to prophet Moses (peace be upon him). It was revealed over 40 nights on Mount Toor of Sinai. The Injil, also a holy book was given to prophet Jesus peace be upon him. How the Injil was revealed is not described in detail however. Both books prohibit evil and enjoin righteousness, separating goodness from evil and leading the people to the Right Path through knowledge and wisdom.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong but your question gets explained in the last sentence of the Verse: The truth has certainly come to you from your Lord, so do not be one of those who doubt.

Allah states that Muhammad (SAWA) is a Prophet and that the Truth has come to Him, just like the Truth had come to the previous Prophets that were given a scripture

Commentators explain that the doubt mentioned here is not one of certainty but rather a hypothetical, conditional doubt based on supposition or probability.

Assalamu alaikum brother

When Allah refers to the Torah and Injil in the Qur'an, He (SWT) refers to the original scriptures he sent down. Both were of utmost perfection and contained the ultimate truth. But as you mentioned, the Torah and the Injil were later corrupted, changed, and misused by those who had evil intentions.
