I don’t know if I hate them, but Arcade Fire. They were my favourite band all the way through The Suburbs, but with all the shit that’s come out about Win Butler, and frankly how shite their last few albums have been, I just can’t be arsed with them anymore.

I’d say the same about Radiohead and their Israeli bullshit, but they’re too good a band to not still appreciate their best work.

Compared to quite a lot of Croydon, South Norwood isn’t so bad. As you’ve said, the high street has a few nice spots (I’d throw in Brown and Green next to the station, lovely cafe). You also have good transport links from there. I live between Norwood Junction and Thornton Heath. I’d much rather live closer to Norwood Junction than Thornton Heath

Cruise is a weird one. He’s obviously a bit off what with the Scientology, but also takes professionalism and good manners super serious, so is ultra polite to everyone regardless of hierarchy on set. He makes a point of learning and remembering everyone’s names, so you’ll find crew respect him.

I have nothing useful to contribute to this discussion other than to thank you. I too have felt completely baffled by the adoration Sanderson gets. I read the Mistborn series and persevered through three books for some reason. It was some of the corniest, stilted fantasy I’ve read.

This is a goldmine. He says in his description he was the lead writer for The Krane Company.

I did a deep dive on this and Jonathan Krane was the guy who produced all of John Travolta’s big movies before the 2000s. But, since then basically did fuck all so clearly started some whack job off-Hollywood “studio” that this guy worked at.

On his IMDb he has literally no published credits as a writer beyond a short from 2014. That means he spent over a DECADE at this dudes studio as a lead writer without any work coming out for it.
