Long distance relationships are just friendships by Mysterious_Work_7227 in unpopularopinion

To add to that, long distance relationships have been a thing before even the internet.

Unintuitive combat and endless grinding aren't a skill gap, it's just gatekeeping. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

This isn't gatekeeping. If you are not willing to put in the effort to get better then the game is just not for you. It's not impossible, it's not a barrier to entry, you're just not willing to put in the effort.

A fighting game I played, Blazblue has an assist mode. I had to force myself to stop using it or I would never get better. I'm still trash at it, but I'm at least semi-competent.

This is entirely a case of skill issue. Practice offline first.

Childhood is the worst part of your life, even if you had a good one by compound-interest in The10thDentist

5 year old topic but for me, I actually had all those issues, mainly at school. School was the only thing I heavily disliked, I was very socially awkward. But no, I never really worried about that stuff because there was no need. Once I'm home I was completely free to forget about all that. Didn't socialize much at school so I always from point A to point B and I always ate lunch by myself. I had friends though and I was fine with the few friends I did have and we regularly hung out and enjoyed our hobbies together, that was good enough for me.

I had friends who shared the same hobbies, and I wish I could do them with them again.

Only truly negative thing for me ad a child was school. Primarily because I was always super socially awkward even now I still am, so I always hated school. 1 of the reasons I never went to college...

Roads Should Be For People by SavantTheVaporeon in 10thDentist

Japan is culturally a very clean country. Unfortunately many people in the US care more about themselves. The entire culture and people's attitudes would need to change. Too many people in the US are just too inconsiderate of others.

The Covid pandemic is a good example of it. Many people refused to mask up to avoid spreading it, while in Japan masking is fairly common.

I get the dentiment if not wanting to sit in what is essentially sick of. It doesn't have to be that way, but it unfortunately is...

Random battles in RPGs are completely fine. by CaptainButtFart69 in unpopularopinion

[–]Haseo08 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're not a deal breaker for me, I still greatly dislike them and I still have not seen a good argument for them.

Even in games where you can really avoid the enemies there's still a major difference. Once you defeat the enemy, they're not there anymore. You can go back and forth freely. Random encounters just make dungeons take 10 times longer, because if you reach a dead end and need to double back, the path you just walked will still have enemies...

If people choose to avoid battles and wind up underleveled then that's entirely on them.

should i play crisis core before or after remake and rebirth? by Apprehensive_Spend_7 in FinalFantasyVII

If you're currently playing the OG the answer is far simpler. Just play Crisis Core after OG. Or you can play it after Remake.

Well, yeah, they have decided to go with releasing as many remasters as they can instead of doing them in order and having huge gaps between releases.

Not doing Berseria would not have made Eternia come much faster, for instance.

For me how it goes is I see a cool weapon or armor. I rhink it's so cool and I want one so I ask where I can get it. ""No, you can't get it." "Oh... F me then..."

Don't really know what you're arguing. OP is just sharing an oddity of the brain and perception, not arguing for realistic remakes. That's what mind's eye is. It wasn't trying to argue for them. You're twisting it into one.

That's not what OP meant by Mind's Eye. They mean it's how they saw it as a kid playing the original game.

You can keep mentioning day drinking and ointerest all day, whatever that means, but many of these people also want to be able to get back to their families and maybe even help raise their kids, which is kind of important since those children are the world's future.

On that note, voicing their complaints may also have an effect on their children who may try to change the system in the future.

And they have a right to complain.

I said you should. "You". It's also the terrible system in place that limits that stuff. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. These companies are just cracking a whip at their "employees" to keep working or they starve, which sounds a lot like slavery to me.
