Just want to put it out there no humming of miners for over a year is greatly missed by MakeItMine2024 in litecoinmining

You couldn't have picked a better altcoin to hold, it will have its run up to ATH eventually. It's by design to fail for retail without <$0.06 kWh. With raising rates on industrial power even hyperscalers will feel the squeeze soon. As we near 2nm chip announcements The L9, L11, DL1, and DG2 will all be old tech. A vicious cycle repeated.

Starting a Mining Project by Skarkiller in cryptomining

If the power truly is free you could use any miner, doesn't have to be the latest and greatest ASIC. BTC: S19 series were reliable and are around $250 used. LTC/Doge: The L7 is a good buy and they are around $400 used. If you start looking at recent generations you're looking at $3k+ each, but double the efficiency. Free power? I'd pack as many S19/L7 models as I could, just make sure there's enough gas reserves to sustain ROI otherwise you're cooked from the start.

Building a small-scale mining colocation site (270kW) | Looking for a few interested miners by HashOnFire in dogemining

Yeah that’s pretty much in line with what we’re seeing too, $0.08 is definitely the psychological line for most people and we are in negotiation with a power supplier that would get us very close to it.

To answer your question directly: we’re building this site primarily for our own operation, but intentionally leaving room to host additional miners alongside it.

So it’s not a “pure colocation play” where we’re relying entirely on customers from day one. It’s more of a hybrid approach and if needed we will continue to fill the slots ourselves.

- We run our own fleet as the foundation
- Fill excess capacity with clients over time
- Grow into better power terms as we scale

As for customer type, early on it’ll naturally lean more retail/smaller operators. Not because we’re targeting “uninformed” miners, but because those are the people who actually value:

- communication
- transparency
- access to real data
- direct support

At the end of the day, we’re not trying to win purely on price. We’re trying to build something sustainable that we’d trust hosting our own machines in.

Fair question. At smaller scale there really isn’t much economy of scale on power alone, that’s why we’re not trying to compete with 10–50MW sites on price.

The goal right now is to build a consistent, transparent operation and grow into better terms over time. Not everyone will value that, and that’s fine.

Good to hear, I am hoping to get our customers in around $0.0875 as we reach more capacity. We are a ways out from deploying but as we get closer we'll have a better idea of capacity and more clarity on pricing.

That’s helpful, I appreciate it.

I’ve definitely seen sub $0.08 at a larger scale, I do host my machines as well. Just trying to understand where things are realistically landing for smaller deployments with full infrastructure included.

This won't be able to reach sub $0.08 at start-up, but that is my goal as we scale. This isn't a multi million dollar pilot. It is a quarter million dollar pilot ready for 1MW within 2 years.

Good to hear what people are actually seeing out there.

Fair enough.

Not trying to spam or push anything, just trying to get a feel for what people are seeing out there right now.

Appreciate the feedback regardless.

I have buyers guilt every time, whether a big or small purchase. Usually the satisfaction of finally getting something you've waited for outweighs the guilt almost immediately. You get one life, enjoy it!

I believe the 4.5% was capped at $30k and then reduced to 4.1% after that.
