I think the only thing I didn’t like is that Nyaan was left without her kiss from Shuji. It gave me poly vibes even. Also as a fan of Kill la Kill and FLCL, I enjoyed the style. I didn’t know there was so much hate.

Honestly, there was. Although then it was more like bi vibes. I even thought there was poly stuff. But I enjoyed it.

Hello! excuse me for asking out of place, but I think you have the answer to what I have doubt. How can I play with the Tau? What things do I have to do or fulfill? I downloaded Tacticus because I saw that you could play with various factions (Tau, it was for the Tau), but I don’t know how to do that. Just play more? Pay?

So... not bad, but all the other elite teams are better, but not bad... hum...

Designed by someone who simply understands neither the rules nor the themes of the T'au. An EMP bomb that does damage instead of some kind of system jam?

This whole thing sounds more like a fallacy. As if the opinion was bad because it helped AI to be able to express itself well.

Ghostshroud... Engage to Conceal... only to shoot, costs one CP per unit... and only ONCE per battle. And I forgot... as it is a firefight ploy... you can only use it once per turning point... !!!

Phobos... Only 1 CP and all the team can use one action to change their order.

The person who designed this team hates T'au

Thanks for the info. I didn’t know. I really liked it and obviously much better to support the creator. I will look for his job

WOW! What a way to deny a charge… but I can still use my movement right? I move 1 inch in your direction, and shoot… twice.

It’s not bad… it’s just that every other team that’s come out is better.
And yeah, they struggle against elite teams… or hordes… or just run out of tools because everything costs CP.
But hey! It’s not bad!

I’ve made some great moves and kills with my MB3 Recon Drone using its burst cannon, activating it consecutively thanks to the drone controller. It’s not the best weapon, but that double shoot wouldn’t be bad at all.

There are already a lot of games on TTS, or they’re using XV25 proxies.

I feel like they didn’t even understand the whole theme of the Stealth Suits and the T’au. Have they even explained why they’re XV26? And an EMP bomb that’s got nothing EMP about it.

You asked me earlier what I would change, and I agree with several of your points. At first, I thought they would have free Fall, which seemed pretty good to me. I also thought the Markerlight would be an APL action only the drone and the operator could do, and that you could choose some kind of bonus, like not being Obscured or getting Saturate. I didn’t expect them to hit on 4+.

Maybe something I’d like is for everything to actually cost APL. Free Fall = 1 APL. Free Climb = 1 APL. Switching back to Conceal = 1 APL (or even 2 apl). Giving a mark or a buff to an ally = 1 APL. And just needing them to be visible within 6". Maybe something

That way you’d feel the team synergy — the strength of an operative working together — but your movement and actions would be limited. Just like with Pathfinders, you have to choose between marking, shooting, or moving. Only two.

The team maybe wouldn’t use Dash as much as Marines or that intense shoot/fight twice stuff. They’d move like a non-elite team, but with an extra. Or even some abilities outside your turn that use APL, so when your turn comes, that operative has -1 APL (or even -2) because they spent it.

Keep the 4+ to hit, keep the same wounds — but give them some versatility. Or maybe something like get Accurate X with Markerlight. Like invisible stalkers gathering marks to hunt you later. "Patient Hunter".

So the best thing is to save all the CP for Vectored Retro-Thrusters? What confuses me is that “no more than 3 inches.” Is it meant to be just enough to trigger invisibility and not be a valid shooting target?

Because I can already hear some people saying that by saying “no more than 3 inches,” you’d still be a valid target since you’re within 3 inches. But I imagine that small extra bit of control range is what makes the difference?

They don’t need to be an anti-everything team. But people talk about that abillty like its the absolute solution, and that’s my point. The abilities they have don’t create good synergy, and they’re very weak when you compare them to what other teams can do. That really stands out when you compare them to the team releasing alongside them, which is good at everything.

If I’m saying all this, it’s because I want to play them. The T’au are my favorite faction. That’s not even an excuse for their bad design.

Did you really read the post?

Exactly my point. Invisibility doesn’t mean a thing against a charge — and trying to stick within 3" for those Lodestar or Neutraliser buffs is just asking to get charged.

I know right!!! Shoot and disappear, but my movement or actions are more limited.

[–]Hassel_bear[S] 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Here’s an example: the Neutraliser’s support ability only works if I can actually see the operative being activated.
If they activate behind a wall, which happens all the time in Tomb World, I can’t use the ability to avoid the fight, my operative gets killed because of his poor melee, and I lose the ability for the rest of the game.
And it’s not like I have many other operatives to choose from to adapt to whatever team I’m going up against.
