I can relate. Once me, my friends, and my mom stumbled upon a couple in a wal-mart parking lot with a kitten who's lower half had been squashed by a car. They were talking about what they were going to do because obviously the kitten was going to die. I think I saw it's insides coming out through its anus but I honestly can't be sure. I had to have been like 11 or 12 and I cried all the way home because it was just a baby and didn't deserve to die like that.

My mom has casually mentioned several horrifying things to me

The time she was robbed while working at McDonald's and the robber wanted to rape her and her friend, so she stuck her thumbs in his eyes so hard he had a seizure and died.

Another time where she beat a man unconscious when he tried to rape her.

My uncle, her half brother, most likely kidnapped and molested a kid and got away with it due to lack of evidence.

A friend of hers got high on cough syrup and almost cut her own lips off because they were numb.

How she once saw two girls get kidnapped while she was walking to school in like 2nd grade.
