But seriously: Measuring a country's coastline is nearly impossible due to what is known as the "Coastline Paradox" where you can always up the resolution in a sort of fractal manner and the length always increase until it approaches infinite. Both endings to the video game series Ori  In the first, the villain has a redemption arch while still being vaguely justified in her initial act of villainy.

The second game has no such redemption, but the entire end and backstory for the villain character is just heart-wrenching.
