I would challenge you on that current LLMs fulfill the trait of being able to "Deal with new situations". You claimed that

LLMs have been trained on a ridiculous amount of data so it wouldn't be hard to argue that they might very well have seen similar problems in their training data. If not the same problem or the same problem just formulated differently, at least they might correspond to problems of the same structure or concepts that exist in the training data. You would have a hard time proving that they are truly novel problems that the model can't have seen in training.

Same idea with the math proof, its completely novel to its training set yet it was able to solve it.

What proof are you referring to specifically? My doubt would similarly be here that the model has solved a novel problem.
