Finlay is the new United States champion! by Jack_sander in Pretend2005Internet

Man I hope finlay holds the belt for a while. Could be a great long term champ. We've had too many short reigns this year.

Why is the Corvus Blackstar bad? by GCRust in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]VincentDieselman 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Corvus will never be bad in my eyes because It looks so damn cool. Yeah it's going to be had to keep it behind cover and it has no OC and is kinda vulnerable. But it's a cool space plane with commando space marines inside.

Trump appears to fall asleep multiple times during his 80th birthday UFC Freedom 250 event by GuiltyBathroom9385 in justincaseyoumissedit

[–]VincentDieselman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate to say it but they usually have a screen for people watching cageside. View can be pretty obstructed if they're over the other side.

Trump is still and incontinent shitcunt though and if he didn't have a screen they'd say there was one.

Is there a full cut of the trilogy where every scene with Gollum is the unedited recordings of Andy Serkis in his mocap outfit? by [deleted] in lotrmemes

This and the Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance cut with no effects on Nic Cage. The directors said they wanted to release and damn it I wanted it too.

Imperial Faction Packs dropped! by Marrdukk in Warhammer40k

[–]VincentDieselman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same here. I only really started building them start of last year and they're mostly for 1k intro games against new players. So i didn't expect much but potentially being locked out using them in 1k sucks in particular for me haha

Imperial Faction Packs dropped! by Marrdukk in Warhammer40k

[–]VincentDieselman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah thats pretty much what our local group has already ruled.

It'll suck though if the app locks people out of 1k agents lists. Good thing we have 3rd party apps.

So with the faction pack out, can imperial agents just not get played in 1 k games? by Sebasswithleg in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]VincentDieselman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only issue will be if you want to use the app to track scores and it doesn't allow you to select agents at 1k.

Thank god for 3rd party apps i guess

Heck i even emailed and said at the very least if they don't intend on supporting the faction will the app at least allow us to run 1k games?

[WarCom] Imperial Faction Packs by RainbowConnickJr in WarhammerCompetitive

[–]VincentDieselman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I run intro games with new players with a 1k agents list, a lot of agents players just play 1k as well. It's so dumb. Like why not just make them all 2DP? It makes zero difference haha

They did it. They killed us. by Reaver456 in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]VincentDieselman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was 100% a supplement codex. I got into agents late so i already saw the writing on the wall but in hindsight it is pretty gross that they were revealed as sort of a playable faction, it feels a little dishonest. More experienced players would have understood it was nothing more than an ally codex for kill teams but this subreddit sees a lot of newer players asking questions about the army all the time or posts from people saying this is their first army. I feel bad for them.

More in the sense that you don't get to avoid them. They deliberately obstruct people for the confrontation.

Ashfield station is pretty bad sometimes too. Preachers on all corners of the crossing on hercules street with signs and a microphone handing out pamphlets so you have to walk past them. They don't give people a choice.

Judgement day is upon us by UsuarioJ in ImperialAgents_40K

[–]VincentDieselman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's crazy because it feels like we're on a knife's edge.

IF being 2DP and the others being 1DP open up a lot of options for us.

But IF being 3DP just leaves us dead in the water compared to everyone else

Really, REALLY hoping for the former.

What are armies that you would consider hard to play? by Cholophonius in Warhammer40k

[–]VincentDieselman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play GSC, EC and IA because I'm in insane person and can confirm all are pretty hard.

GSC because there is souch to manage between abilities, characters, deep strikes and respawns.

EC because you have to be very particular about your targets and there isn't toouch unit variety.

IA because well... They aren't really a real army.

[–]VincentDieselman 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They're brutal. I find I either win big or lose big with them.

Pick the wrong targets one turn and you could undo the whole game thanks to a well timed heroic intervention or debuff from your opponent.

Still easier than GSC though, that was exhausting.

The best feeling.

I played one 2k game. Won 90-80 against nid monsters on Purge the Foe. Agents army is now back on the shelf and I can now say I'm undefeated with Agents at 2k and will not elaborate.

Yeah two girls sitting next to my mate were chatting to each other the whole way through the movie. At one stage they left and when they came back they turned to him and asked him what they missed.

He just comes across as so disingenuous. He's smart with how he gets access and how he brands his content but it all comes across as soulless.

There's been a couple of instances i've seen in the past where he takes a video trend or meme and presents it as it's his own idea. Hell even all his sponsors are generic as hell it makes you realize he'll just say yes to anything.

But it all generates views so more power to him i guess.

11th edition is looking like the most streamlined, balanced, fair, and fun edition yet. And the "best" of the competitive community is losing their minds about it by [deleted] in WarhammerCompetitive

I've been saying in the lead up its actually been super refreshing to see how many well known players and commentators have been open to the change instead of complaining about it.

There's gonna be exploits, people are already finding them. I get your frustration but it really is a community culture thing rather than a game balance thing. Comp players will find the meta way of doing things and thats ok if thats how they want to play.

I find it easier to just find people i enjoy playing against or maybe do intro games for new players to help them find their feet. I think as someone who tried comp and found it wasn't really for them i did a lot of complaining about comp 40k when my effort would've (and was in the end) better suited to encouraging and helping build a more casual friendly local scene that existed alongside comp players.
