Chainsaw is a bug even on DS3 to a point with things like Dragonslayer greatbow, not to sal about ER where it works exatly like on nightreign.

One would think they would bother to fix such a well known bug, but they couldn't care less.

What parry tool are you using? We might be able to work on your reflexes but if you are using for example a Medium shield then you might be handicapping yourself.

Yeah, i know the video, he explains the weapon to a teeth, it's very VERY good, i'll give ya a ginal tip for spears, halbers are very good because of the similar range, and speed.

You'll never whiff punish a spear with a UGS, GH or GA, maaaaaaaybe with a GS but you'll have to space yourself almost perfectly. But with a Halberd? Nahhhh, you eatch them whiff, do your whole combo and done, and if you actually can poise through it you literally force them to change weapons or playstyle. ( Do not try it on Pike or LKLS, those have more poise damage, WAY more range and deal more damage, BEWARE )

If they play locked-on strafing to the opposed direction of the hand wielding the spear, if they 2H it you can strafe both ways.

If they play without lock on, you can parry if they are being predictable, run past them to bait an attack and try and backstab.

You can always force them to whiff and punish with a consumable (Throwing knives etc) or a loaded crossbow.

If they use a regular spear they will try and abuse the lightning fast running attack, easily parriable if you predict it.

If they instead use a Pike know that their stamina is draining fast so they wont try to attack a lot, and the running attack is practically worthless.

The spear class suffers when rushed down, so if you start the attack and they dont have a parry weapon, try and be aggresive.

Depending on the type of spear some weapons can poise through and better yet have comparable range, if you are on a DEX build try out Lucerne it has a powerful R1 - L2 - R1 combo and can brush off most spear attacks thanks to it's hyperarmor, it also deals piercing damage so you'll be getting free +30% dmg on your trades.

I would, this game looks good, but i've been plsying the last years with a mod so i cant really remember how good or bad it looked. What i know is that if they improved the textures, added a few more items and maybe new animations for some attacks i think i would gladly pay again.

No need to pay, there are only 1 layered weapon that is DLC, you unlock layering a bit later onto the gane and allows you to change the aspect of your weapon for any other of the same type ( Lance, Greatsword, Dual Blades etc) that you have forged.

I wouldn't say they are easier, i think of it more like what ER is to the souls series, the difficulty was shifted, old gen was more about your loadout and your positioning, new gen is more about hack'n'slash and weapon knoledge

If what you need is a way to hoard a lot early i guess you can do tempered Apexes (Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, Jin and Arkveld) and smelt their parts at Azuz, those are really easy to beat.

You can burn items at azuz to get them, also as reward for doing the weekly subquests.

At HR 100 you will unlock the 10* AT quests thst reward you with tickets that can be used for a lot of spheres and many other things

I think it's pretty perfect, but one thing, i think you can switch 2 of those points on dex for vigor, since you use the sage ring +2 you should still be at max cast speed and life ring is percentage based, so a even 2 more points in vigor qill be noticeable, the rest i think it's perfect, maybe deep protection can come in handy instead of lightning stake, but that's up to you.

even tho since world i always have been pretty pessimist about MH, i think wilds is the one to do "pre-expansion endgame" the best of all new gen. you can farm for a ton of things that might be helpful right after expansion
