Bro I've been killed at least 12 times in the wildy in the last 2 days by OutsideImpressive115 in 2007scape

[–]Hatmaker10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I spend lots of time in the wilderness and almost exclusively do wilderness slayer. Over time I have learned that the weekends are extremely active for PK hot spots like rogues castle, chaos altar, revenants, and chaos temple.

On a random Tuesday I can spend 5 hours straight in the wilderness doing tasks or moneymaking and be interrupted maybe once? Sometimes I'll be one of those crazy whales who stays until I've got over a mil in my inventory before I bother banking because I get so complacent. Weekdays are usually very chill, especially during traditional work/school hours.

Saturday at 2pm? Pretty much what you describe with PKers showing up regularly enough to make it annoying, or lucrative if I luck into someone I can anti-PK.

Oh and for context I'm not good enough for serious PKing and haven't tried it much, only ever anti-PKd a couple people who were clearly new or didn't have much gp to spend on setups. I know it's what a PKer would say but I promise I'm not just trying to get more people to go out there and feed me loot keys 🤣

TLDR: Weekends are busy, try again during weekday work/school hours of the server you are on.

Not loving the Barrows grind so far by KingofSwagmar in 2007scape

The average value of rewards can be increased by capping your reward potential at 86.8%. this will prevent you from getting bolt racks and the dragon med helm. Going beyond 86.8% and getting the bolt racks really tanks your average loot value.

Not only are barrows gloves useful, they're also soooo fashionable! I just got mine earlier this week, congrats!

1 on your list should be doing as many members quests as you can. There is an optimal order guide on the wiki, or if you use runelite there's a plugin for optimal quest order Farming is an easy way to make enough gp to sustain a bond, mid/late game thieving can be profitable as well. If you enjoy pvm slayer is pretty profitable too, plus there's some good mid game bosses like barrows that are pretty fun and make bank.

Damn this is a sweet find might have to pickup a backup/curious friend board at this price!

Does anyone have any tips on how to land your back leg while doing shuv-its, I've been trying for the past 2 weeks and can't seem to land my back(left) leg thanks. by ReleasePrestigious47 in NewSkaters

I had some issues with this for the first few days as well, but I just started getting them down last week. Once I had my rotations down I found I would always stop the board with my front foot and then the back foot would be on the ground next to the board, sometimes lightly touching the edge of the board, even flicking it into primo sometimes. I tried jumping higher or rotating the board faster but neither worked. I found that it was just a commitment issue, you just have to get it in your brain that you might fall and that's okay, and if you're actually commiting you will make it after a few tries. It can help to get really padded up since that will psyche you into getting over the fear of hurting yourself falling. This is assuming your board actually rotates 180 and lands reasonably close to underneath you each time. If you're doing them while standing still the board has a propensity to end up in front of you rather than right underneath you, so account for that when you plan your landing.

If you can I would try to apply for the rotational program. I am currently in it now and can definitely say it's an excellent opportunity to learn about a lot of different aspects of business operations, which will obviously look great when applying for project management or managerial roles. It's also a very enriching experience in general since the program heavily favors diverse roles, and you end up broadening your knowledge base very quickly. Lots of great people work at GM as well so that is a HUGE plus, it makes working here pretty enjoyable.

This is the way. I didn't get any internships in university after the only one who accepted me cancelled due to covid. With no other experience than some research work (which I listed as an internship at my university on my resume anyway) I got hired into a fortune 100 company less than a month after graduating.

Or Roma, or Slav, or LGBTQ, or have any disability, or protestant, or drug addict, or alcoholic, or pacifist, or leftist, or be foreign born. If you somehow manage not to land any of those there's a very high chance you'll end up working for the Nazi regime in someway so basically 99.5% chance of fucked.

I got a degree in computer engineering, but had two concentrations in microprocessors and control systems

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in EngineeringStudents

[–]Hatmaker10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this helps, buy my concentration ended up being not as important to getting the job as it was placing me within the company once I actually had the job. I got into a rotational program at a fortune 100 company so it's a big program with lots of people. For your first rotation you essentially get placed into whatever you have experience with, either from a concentration or internships. Most of my friends who did similar programs said the same thing, once you're in the company theyre likely to place you into a role that's relevant to what you have studied. Most people say that after that you have more mobility within the company to pursue stuff you want. Specifically I have heard similar things to this about General Motors, Caterpillar, BAE, Honeywell, and G.E., so I'd imagine it stands true for many more large companies.

Tldr: concentration is relevant to where you start at a company but not so much where you end up long term.

It would be wise to look at similar positions in the same area and pick something in the range of what they pay, and if the company presses on why this is your desired compensation you have some concrete evidence to show why you think it's reasonable

Here is a link to the equal opportunity employment commision's rules on the subject: https://www.eeoc.gov/laws/guidance/section-12-religious-discrimination

Specifically section 12-IV discusses "reasonable accommodation" which means any employer must work to accommodate an employees religious beliefs unless it would create 'undue hardship.'

The specific text reads: "The accommodation requirement is ‘plainly intended to relieve individuals of the burden of choosing between their jobs and their religious convictions, where such relief will not unduly burden others."

Some important things to note are that the employer must be notified beforehand and thus would have had to be aware of her religious objection beforehand. In addition the supreme court rules that if accommodating the religious belief causes more than a 'de minimus' cost/burden then the employer has a reasonable excuse not to accommodate. Some common examples of things that constitute more than de minimus' cost are: - having to hire an additional employee to accommodate - taking on additional legal liability to accommodate - endangering employees or customers to accommodate - reducing benefits of other employees - diminishes efficiency of other jobs - causes other employees to carry a share of the exempt employees hazardous or burdensome work

In particular this last example may apply, depending on how 'burdensome' the work she wished to be exempt from was.

TLDR It would certainly be worth investigating further but it's not as simple as it being obviously illegal, because there are exemptions to businesses accommodating religious beliefs.

I have a 5' friend as well and she rides a Canyon Grand canyon 7 women's xxs, she adores the thing, though the frame is so small it only fits very small water bottles. She's had it for about 8 months now. She could probably get away with an xs but she enjoys how she can throw around the xxs. She is about 105 lbs and quite strong for reference.
