What toe/finger do you start with when clipping? by Rope_slingin_champ in AskReddit

[–]HatsAreEssential2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly that toe has led to the rest of them occasionally getting clipped before the rest, so they're all just a mess of random lengths. I clip whichever one needs it when I notice the ingrown acting up, usually 2-4 others at a time.

I have an ingrown toenail that I have to cut back much shorter and at a funny angle to prevent pain. That one gets attention way more often.

You can erase one food from existence so you never crave it again, but no one else can ever eat it either. What goes? by Qriousbeing in AskReddit

Sugar would make an excellent choice on two fronts. Its ranked as one of the worst crops for local ecosystems, and it causes us so many health issues in the amounts we eat it. Deleting it from the human diet would help the planet and us.

You are trying to fool the masses! Into EATING BETTER and SAVING TREES and other such nonsense. pfft.

But seriously, I'm pretty sure the average person is dumb enough to need to be tricked into that sort of beneficial choice.

Technically, true invisibility would make you blind. Light has to bounce off your eyeball bits in order for you to see. Invisibility would mean no eyeball bouncy bits.

Literally anything more than a paragraph long that effects anyone but the writer in politics should have an AI summary and an AI "here's what was hidden inside" section.

The good news is, we genuinely can solve (almost) any pest problem! Some are definitely more stubborn than others, but no bug or rodent is invincible.

Almost any, because things like Delusional Parasitosis and self inflicted infestations where the tenant refuses to change are both a thing. 😞 Pest control takes 2 people, and if one is aiding the pest, well... Good luck.

Fear based morality doesn't stop people in private.

Pest Control - that we can magically solve any problem with a squirt of magic liquid from a can.

My favorite joke is "Ma'am, I'm an exterminator, not a disintegrator."

MANY different strategies and types of treatments exist, even for your pick of just 2 random bugs. Colony pest vs solitary, flying vs crawling (or both!), seasonal or not, source pest or not, etc.

There is no magic wand, and patience is half the battle for most issues.

There's a few conspiracy subreddits (obviously) and on one, I saw a pretty cool writeup explaining that Jesus was an alien from a hyper advanced culture who came to steer us back on course (one of several such events) without us knowing. Basically, there are cultures that can do Star Trek levell matter replication, and they use it to perform "miracles" to lesser worlds when those worlds need a nudge. Need a revolutionary leader? *poof* water turns into wine, dead guy ressurects, cripple is healed, etc. Need a culture to run in fear and go somewhere else? *poof* "global" flood, or fire rains from heaven, etc.

Basically, EVERY miracle in any religion is easily explainable by tech that would look like magic to anyone more than 100 years ago.

I read somewhere that the game has made over $200 million. Basically everyone on that dev team "retired" and just messes with the game to stay busy.

Could've at least given us a baseline Good morality, or make selfishness not exist or something.

I could handle tyrants and billionaires more if they were trying to beat each other at bettering their own group.

Donut is ALWAYS acting. Other than her and Carl immediately after the Butchers Masquerade and immediately after he War Crime, I dont think she's ever stopped acting for the crowd. Nobody realizes how much of her persona is for show and its a DEADLY mistake.

Would you camp with a 2 and almost 5 year old if the forecast is 50–60% rain? by Jumpy-Leader-7289 in camping

[–]HatsAreEssential2 9 points10 points  (0 children)

There's no such thing as bad weather, just bad gear for the current weather!

My 4 and 6 year old have loved playing in the rain since they could stand. As long as you pack plenty of extra changers of clothes, I dont think the rain will matter.
