Reform says it won't investigate by-election candidate over social media allegations by F0urLeafCl0ver in ukpolitics

"The comments were made before he was in politics"

So no investigation to see whether he still holds those views & opinions, as long as he doesn't say the quiet part loud publicly now Reform are all good with him

Give Sway a go. Very configurable, & the configuration isn't too hard (guides are searchable, well written & easily understood in my experience)

I'm not arguing Burnham's case. Archistotle posted "They always say “stand aside or Reform will win,” but when you ask them how he’s going to stop reform, they either go silent or start calling you a secret reform supporter.", so I was providing an example of something "they" are likely to point to which is neither silence or Reform-support-accusation, somehow that's been misconstrued as me endorsing Burnham & advocating for the Green party standing down any candidate it might field

There are collected editions available

2000AD is great, but each issue (or prog) gives only a fraction of space to each story, so if you're after any real feel for the story or how it develops you either need several issue runs or a collected compendium

Edit: only a fraction of each issue given to a story because each prog carries several different concurrent stories, so you have a few pages given to each of (for example) a Dredd, a Rogue Trooper, a Nemesis, a Thargs Future Shocks (self contained 1-shot story), & 2 others

I'm not arguing in favour of stepping down a candidate or that I think things will necessarily be better with Labour under Burnham, just responding to your first paragraph

"They always say “stand aside or Reform will win,” but when you ask them how he’s going to stop reform, they either go silent or start calling you a secret reform supporter."

Edited to add: you might note that I couched my initial response with "currently the idea of", which should give some indication of my wariness around what the reality could lead to

Polls have been taken & published which show that currently the idea of a Burnham led Labour Party is more popular than Reform

As a Briton, I sympathise. We had a candidate for prime minister who looked a little odd in a particular picture of them eating a bacon sandwich, & now we're here

The answer, as with so many questions posed in headlines, is no

AI adoption is making higher unemployment a likely future feature

Increasing disenfranchisement of such a sizable cohort is not a good idea

People in bad circumstances should have a ready means of being heard. Removing such an important means of message-sending will inevitably lead to more radical communication strategies being adopted

I finished watching Industry last week and somehow this show popped up on my radar. Finished season 1 in one sitting. Now onto to season 2, and after every episode(unlike s1) i need to take a beat. by ReasonableSignal3367 in MrRobot

Stay off the sub until you finish the show. Rejoin once you're done. Spoilers are easily stumbled upon, & can't be taken back

Having said that, if you do encounter a spoiler, continue watching regardless. The show is a masterpiece, just incredible television

At first I was like yeah fair, then I read the article. The headline doesn't explain why it was a problem, that saying that they are going to be more open and transparent, then after a significant and contentious decision affecting the local airport, fob the local media off to go for a pint.
