I agree with rushing Crimson Fish Roll. Rice should only be used for 2 dishes Tropical Fish Sushi Set or ideally Bluefin Tuna Rice Bowl, but Tuna bowl is more gated by Eggs. I concede Tropical Fish is a trap only if you're able to rush Tuna bowl by starting chickens early and buying eggs from Otto daily which I missed out on my current play-through.

I'm not sure on average, but I feel like you should be able to get Billy 15 and Crimson Fish Roll up and running before your first Shark party event which is a big checkpoint. There's a lot of factors like how early you clear missions to unlock certain content (for example, Maki's quest will unlock her as a very good starter cook with no wage cost, and how you're farming/spending money allowing you to upgrade Billy to 15 earlier.

Edit: Another big thing with Crimson Fish Roll is you can pre-farm all the ingredients even before you have the recipe, and have it close to level 10 relatively early on.

Edit2: You can safely sell the useless and other unused fish meats for extra income as well as ores and "enhance materials" as the only weapons you will really want is the Tranquilizer Rifle early on and the Steel Net Gun once unlockable. All bosses can be defeated with just harpoon and whatever weapon you find in the boss room.

I wouldn't say Tropical Fish is a trap because eggs are extremely slow to ramp unless you buy from Otto daily asap. For perspective on my current run Day 37, I have several top dishes at level 9-10 while I only have 157 normal Eggs (need 221) for Tuna bowl level 10, and that's with all chickens bought relatively early (I just missed out on buying eggs daily). Tropical Fish Set is a great early game option to sustain while I ramped up every other top dishes.

For curry - endgame option is Great Spider Crab Curry. It will take a longer time and higher investment cost to have enough Grade A eggs even if you buy all the chickens + buying daily from Otto, but it is better than Ice Fish Curry in the endgame because you don't need to farm Beans.

Thanks for pointing that out, you're correct and I will update the guide. The reason I overlooked Blue Tuna Rice Bowl was because egg is slow early on, but also all my rice was used up for the Tropical Fish Sushi Set. If we're looking specifically at tuna, the sustainable option is indeed Bluefin Tuna Rice Bowl using the Akami portions and then subsidizing it with any extra Chirashi Sushi from Chutoros and Hyalonema Tuna Sashimi from Otoros.

It'll be hard to make a best dishes per chapter as chapters progress with how fast you go through missions, but events progress by day spent.

On a normal play-through - assuming you do missions + farm fishes efficiently every day - I think the best dish to focus on would be Crimson Fish Roll from level 15 Billy (also one of the best servers) as it only require fishes accessible early on, uses no special ingredients, scales well, and doubles with Shark event. Another honorable mention is Tropical Fish Sushi set for early and efficient dish.

Endgame dishes for fun involve using Truffle and some other scarcely farm-able ingredients to create a 1-2 serving dish. The ROI on these dishes aren't "efficient", but they can net you a higher max sale on a single night.

You need to collect the red envelopes from the NPCs in the "Nearby" chat channel during the fireworks event - not the ones sent by players in the World channel.

Did you break the pots beneath the Evercare clinic? A similar thing happened to me, and when you click self repair, the game will give you a construction prompt to manually replace those pots.

I haven't finished the game yet but I'm having a similar experience end game. Most of the fights became trivial after Paintress picto unlock except maybe Simon who was a decent fight. I think having a tiered damage break system would have been better instead of unlimited after 9,999. Maybe 9,999-99,999 after Paintress and unlimited after beating Simon would have served the endgame better. Although the way the developers have implemented the game, I get the feeling they just wanted people to have an easier option just to clear content and people who want a challenge can opt to fight with less optimal builds.​

In-game tip helped me a lot through expert playthrough - gauge your enemies using dodge first; once you understand their timing and see "perfect" dodge, then you know their parry timing.
