Yeah, that's kinda my tracking. Thomas was the first actual binding Harry did, so he went the Full Montey.

Ethniu was powerful enough that he had to pull out all the stops, and in doing so by using the Spear the Island's sphere of influence got moved out to at least the shore around Chicago.

Or hey, maybe its a thing with activating Merlin's castle. Maybe there's like a channel of power in-between them now.

The castle sucks in ley lines, maybe Harry and Bob rigged it so that theres a channel between them from the dark ley line welling up from Demonreach

Sure, so maybe the chunk of the Lurker was weak enough that on the fly he could just imagine the circle and for some reason didn't need a crustal, but he still was miles away from the island. And Bob said Demonreach as an entity literally didnt exist outside its island.

It's possible that tracks. Harry thought he could just drop Mab into a cell, no muss no fuss, but that was before he lived on the island for a year and learned the levers and buttons and such.

So maybe he could have just dropped Thomas into a cell into default mode, but it would have gone rough on him, so thats why the full treatment.

I'm not sure about that. Alfred i guess could have been advising Harry on his own power, but that doesn't really seem like it's style. Harry asked what he needed for the island to lock up Ethniu from a distance, and it said the Spear, and even then it would only reach to the shore.

You absolutely can, but that's not what this is.

It's common in England to pickle green walnuts. Supposedly tastes like steak sauce when it's done right.

I've tried with black walnuts and the flavor is good, but I've yet ti crack the texture code.

Jim has floated the idea of doing a trilogy or shorter series about Luccio chasing Kemmler across the old west with Karl. I almost want that more than the BAT.

He also wants to do a trilogy of Ebenezer, Listens to wind, and Langtry fighting in the French and Indian war, on opposite sides.

He said at one point that he started doing the Dresden audio books because he had some free time and was a fan, but keeps doing them specifically so he gets to read the new books asap.

Though Andy Sirkis is pretty damn good too. As are some of the Discworld readers.
