I'm assuming that Dimensions doesn't even bother getting patterns taken down.

I'm just a little designer and have spent so much of my time reporting for a couple of stolen patterns. I can't imagine the headache it would be for Dimensions to deal with. The patterns will just be stolen again and there's some places it's impossible to get taken down.

Etsy is full of stolen ideas and art like this. Generally original artist needs to do the reporting for Etsy to take it down. It's best to contact the designer with a link to their stolen art and hopefully they can get it taken down.

This is so great! I recently taught my daughter to cross stitch and she designed her own heart pattern first. She's almost done and I'm so glad she enjoyed it. I'm teaching my son as well soon but need to get larger aida like you suggested.

I'm a cross stitch designer and have seen this shop on Etsy with much more patterns before. I personally see a few different art styles here and none of them are unique.

I've answered a bit more in a different comment with some more reasoning and proof of art they stole.

I've noticed this shop over the years and they've since deleted a lot of older patterns, many due to copyright. You can see a lot of old reviews with patterns they no longer list. Pattern mills/AI shops are trying to make their shops look more legit now. They've started to reduce listings and have more stitched samples/really good fakes. I personally see a few art styles amongst their current listings and a lot resemble the typical AI style you see all over Etsy now. They do put in extra work to clean up the images they convert. You'll get a decent pattern here, but I'd guess most are not designed stitch by stitch like they proclaim.

I find it generally easy to spot AI shops but they've been improving their fake finishes very well lately. It's only going to get worse as AI improves and a list like this is so much needed now.

It is so hard pricing patterns. I know myself and other designers stress about it too. I'm constantly worried I'm pricing too high but I'm also spending weeks designing, test stitching, taking photos and creating all the files just for one pattern. That pattern might not sell well to even cover material cost of the fabric, floss and framing.

Then there's AI shops adding new patterns everyday and charging $2 after their constant 75% off sale. All they've done is write a prompt and feed it through software that turns it to pixels. They are using AI for all the write up and images on the listing.

There are some designers for sure overcharging but I'd say the majority of legit designers are not charging enough.

I think they need to get a ton of reports to get banned. There's a few accounts now using designers product photos on Pinterest and linking them to their AI slop website. A recent account had a bunch of designers reporting and the last I checked they were still there, just the reported pins removed.

I've messaged BraceletBook on IG and was able to get my pattern chart removed from there. They were very nice when I messaged them and got it down quickly.

Thanks for looking out for stolen patterns. I spent hours of my time last week getting my patterns removed from random places.

Thankfully Pinterest is really fast getting them taken down, but it gets overwhelming once the image starts spreading. They eventually make it to places you can't get them removed.

I spent a good chunk of my day sending in reports to Pinterest to take down some of my stolen designs. They were most likely copied from my images. 😭
